The ocean sustains humanity and life on earth. It produces roughly 50% of the planet’s oxygen, and blue foods provide the primary source of protein for more than a billion people around the world. 🌍 As salmon farmers, we recognize our responsibility and ability to protect the ocean and its biodiverse inhabitants, and are committed to working together to drive sustainable improvements throughout the aquaculture sector. Tomorrow, in celebration of World Ocean’s Day, the United Nations is joining forces with global policymakers, scientists, managers, and thought leaders to highlight how the human relationship with the ocean needs to change urgently. 🌊 Happy World Oceans Day! Today, we celebrate the beauty and importance of our oceans, vital sources of life and biodiversity.   🐋 In alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 14: Life Below Water and SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, CIFAL Global Network and United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) are dedicated to safeguarding and preserving our oceans.  💙 United Nations World Ocean Day 2024 's theme is "Awakening New Depths." 🌊 World Oceans Day 🌊 June 8th is an opportunity to recognize the importance of the oceans in our global ecosystem and our economy. For what ? Because the oceans produce up to 80% of the oxygen we breathe and play a role central in maintaining #biodiversity and #climate regulation. 🧿 The #blueeconomy, defined as the sustainable use of #ocean resources for economic growth, improvement of means of subsistence and the preservation of the ocean ecosystem, is essential to achieve the #SDGs set by the United Nations. 🎏 In particular SDG 14, which focuses on #aquaticlife and highlights the importance of protecting the oceans to ensure a #sustainable future. 🌐 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 of the Blue and green economy We cannot talk about sustainability without including the oceans. They capture up to 70% of CO2 produced by humans and absorb 90% of the excess of heat generated by greenhouse gases. However, the #degradation continues of these resources threatens to jeopardize our progress towards a sustainable future. 📉 Business leaders are encouraged to adopt an approach “blue-green” to integrate the blue economy into their #ESG strategies. An approach aligned with the evolution of regulatory standards, such as ESRS E3 “ Water and Marine Resources", which focuses on issues related to #water including its consumption, its #recycling and the #preservation of aquatic ecosystems, while supervising the information to be communicated in corporate sustainability reports. 5 YEARS OF PEACE IN CARING FOR EARTH Full Story - https://lnkd.in/gmi_6PQq   In conjunction with our 5th Anniversary, the Policy & Economic Alliance Caring of Earth (PEACE) organized the 4th Annual Future Economy Collaboration Business Forum (FEC Business Forum) in Taipei City from 23-27 October 2023.   The FEC4 Business Forum brings together business leaders from Asia and Africa who share the goal of strengthening collaboration in collaborative economy, trade, and investment relations in Asia.   The 2023 theme of this annual meeting is "Healing the Earth, Cities, and Humanity with Gifts from Nature," emphasizing that human life health and resilience must return to forests, plants, or agriculture to find solutions to sustainable development and health. PEACE believes that this prescription can relieve the challenges of various modern diseases and the depression of the environment, with the gifts of nature - forests, plants, and crops - And Build a Global Shield of Healing Power – To let the earth and human beings have PEACE of Mind.   Our Agenda is to unleash the scientifically quantified healing power of nature and plants, use local plants and natural resources in each region to form a healing shield for the environment, the city, and the health of residents, achieving the purpose of PEACE to solve intricate problems in the simplest way and through the tandem of the achievements of various places, form a global healing power in the happiest way.   In less than 5 years of establishment, PEACE was awarded Special Consultative Status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC) and is the executor of the United Nations Ecological Recovery 2021-2030 Plan.
