We are excited to partner with United for Infrastructure #InfrastructureWeek The key objective of Infrastructure Week is to highlight the significant role that infrastructure plays in our daily lives. Without the E&C companies who build the infrastructure that our nation depends on, our economy and quality of life would suffer. Since most infrastructure is used daily, it’s only natural for it to become commonplace and therefore taken for granted. The opportunity to highlight infrastructure’s importance and the need for continued investment is important for FMI to participate in as we seek to create a better future for the built environment. Today we release our 2Q Civil Infrastructure Construction Index (CICI). Learn more about the trends we are seeing across all segments.

📢 New research: 48% of construction companies have no or low involvement in public infrastructure projects according to a survey carried out by the Construction Industry Federation. The survey also showed that for 69% of contractors, public works contracts make up less than 50% of annual turnover. Paul Sheridan, CIF Director of Main Contracting said: "Construction companies are eager to scale up their efforts, but they must have certainty of a pipeline of new work and that tendering for major infrastructure projects prioritizes quality and efficiency over lowest cost and lengthy bureaucracy.” 🔎 Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/eyUk-HUF #construction #infrastructure #research #NDP
