## Day 59: 75Hard - Sustainability & Social Responsibility **On this journey of self-improvement, I've been reflecting a lot on the bigger picture. It's not just about pushing ourselves physically and mentally, but also about the impact we have on the world around us.** *Sustainability* and *Social Responsibility* are two values that are becoming increasingly important to me. Here are some insights I've gained: * **Small changes add up:** We all have the power to make sustainable choices in our daily lives. From using reusable water bottles to reducing food waste, these small steps can make a big difference. * **Support ethical businesses:** Look for companies that are committed to sustainable practices and social responsibility. By doing your research and making informed choices, you can support businesses that are making a positive impact. * **Community matters:** Get involved in your local community and support causes you care about. Volunteering your time or donating to charities can make a real difference in the lives of others. **Remember, we are all part of something bigger. Let's use this challenge to not only improve ourselves but also to make the world a better place.** #75Hard #Sustainability #SocialResponsibility #Challenge #Community #Impact **Let's continue the conversation in the comments below! What are some ways you're incorporating sustainability and social responsibility into your life?**

The biggest disruption that we & businesses face now is sustainability mainly due to a lack of knowledge, expertise & experience to tackle environmental issues. Without ‘green washing’ the NSBRC’s Festival of Sustainability on Friday 17th & Saturday 18th May offers genuine inspirational advice from experts on how we can improve both the energy efficiency & comfort levels of our properties, literally from the ground up. Featuring a Nature Zone that shines a light on charities & non-profit organisations who aim to improve our natural environment. We need to leave the planet in better shape than we found it. That challenge extends to every aspect of our life now.

How deeply ingrained is sustainability in your business? We all talk a lot about this key issue today, but do we act as much as we claim to? Being truly sustainable today includes having ethical and sustainable practices through every aspect of your business, with goals clearly and transparently shared with consumers and partners alike. It also means looking bigger and beyond our own business to help the wider world At 2.0 & Partners, we are proud to have a long-standing partnership with Ecologi | B Corp™ to ensure our in-house efforts are as green as possible - a mission we continue to push forward with - and we have worked alongside charitable organisations such as The Ocean Cleanup to support their large-scale work around the globe. But there is always more the do, because when it comes to sustainability, the time for talk is over. #sustainbility #travel #green

⚠ WARNING: HOLIER-THAN-THOU POST INCOMING!⚠ Corporate Social Responsibility would come up time and time again at University, taught as a box to tick, often begrudgingly. An afterthought or a handy tool for appealing to a target market. There are serious global and local issues which need action, we all know that. Most individuals play some part in solving these: we recycle, reduce meat intake, volunteer, buy electric cars… Lots of good signs ✌ ! Unfortunately most businesses (especially larger ones with more resources, ironically) don’t take meaningful action, often waxing lyrical about vacuous green ‘actions’ - “We’ve got a plan to work on establishing a framework for reducing our emissions by 50% by 2060” 🤡 We decided instead that we would bake social responsibility in as we went. 🌲 We’ve been partnering with carma.earth to plant 438 trees (and counting!), making us carbon negative as a company since inception. We've also created 4 workdays through them. It’s a good foundation but we’ve still got a lot to do.🌲 We’re always looking for new ways to give back and minimise our environmental impact. How do you play your part? Any suggestions? — SoSquared recently hosted the FLIP Manchester investor event, an event we were incredibly proud to be a part of, made even prouder by the involvement of the Seashell Trust and Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity. If you want to learn more about these great charities, links are in the comments below. #environmentalsustainability #csr #treeplanting

Yesterday I had the great opportunity to present at the Future Females Circular Economy Showcase. It was such a privilege to not only showcase the impact that we make in the environmental sustainability space, but to also encourage and inspire the audience to adopt circular lifestyes. We can't always be preaching only to organisations to drive change and make an impact. After all everything starts with a person, as the famous saying that charity begins at home. So this is a call to action to everyone. I encourage you to start your journey to adopting a circular lifestyle. #circulareconomy #environmentalsustainability #energyefficiency #sustainablebusinesspractices

The charity sector has a unique opportunity to proactively prepare for upcoming sustainability reporting deadlines, ensuring that their work not only benefits the world but is also conducted sustainably.
