Election day is one week from today. If you don't want to get stuck in those long lines and possibly miss your chance to vote, you can go vote now. The polls are open for early voting through Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM. If you want to change the direction this country is headed, you have to vote for change. The upcoming US election may be the most important we will face in our lifetime. It is critical that you vote. So: 1. Register to vote: https://lnkd.in/garTS3qV 2. Please vote before the election if possible. Where I live there are Registrar of Voters boxes that bypass US Mail, and mail is also an option. 3. If you can't vote ahead of time, please try to get to the polls ASAP on voting day. There will be efforts to dissuade you from voting via long lines, people who (falsely) tell you the poll is closed and it's time to go home, etc.

To those who say this is a professional platform and we should stick to professional topics, I work in government, in public policy, in analysis and strategy around government systems. This IS a professional topic and this is a crucial piece of information about our government systems, because if we do not correct the corruption that has been systemically embedded, covertly embedded for years, then the greatest democracy in modern times may fail. Normally I wouldn't worry you about something like primaries in which we already know who's going to win, but our GOP legislature also put in two constitutional amendments designed to hobble the governor's power (since the governor is a Democrat, and they can't gerrymander their way into power there).
