I read the link in the post Saima Wazed . I worked on a project which is using by Mayo Clinic in organ transplant domain. There, I worked on a module which can show the progress of a patient on different attributes (lab test, procedure) in chart. So, doctors can easily in glance of eye understand the lab results which are done over time for a patient. If we can capture of all lab results based on types (blood, urine) from diagnosis centers and hospitals (pipe it into database); we can get evidence on the particular reasons for different sickness or disease on different vitals and demographics as well the current status of general public as a whole. From there, you can plan the road map even pinpointed for future work. Individual lab results are the raw data of global health. During your period in WHO as Regional Director; you can create the infrastructure or systems which can provide indicators, what to do next to improve public health.
