Early interventions are crucial to inspiring girls to embrace STEM, reshaping their perception of it as not just a field of study but a rewarding career path. This has been the core mission of Fasaha Gina Mata Gina al-Umma Digital Skills Development Programme, breaking down barriers and creating pathways for girls and young women to explore the world of STEM. #HumanRightsDay

The deadline has been extended until 11 July 2024 ❗ For this fourth edition, Girls Go Circular is inviting its female students and alumnae to dive into the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and explore its potential to solve real-life societal challenges. 🤖 Today’s world is increasingly influenced by AI, and young people need to understand how it works to critically assess its impact on society, use it ethically, and mitigate potential risks. This Student Challenge aims to equip students with essential AI knowledge, boost their creative and problem-solving skills, and empower them to enact positive change.💪 Participants will need to work in teams of three girls and come up with an idea for an AI tool to help reducing gender inequalities in the area of their choice (education, employment, sciences, arts, sports…). #ai #girlsgocircular

Introducing the "Connecting Girls to STEM" Handbook: Empowering the Next Generation of Female Leaders We are pleased to announce the release of the Handbook for the "Connecting Girls to STEM" project. This comprehensive guide is a crucial component of the Erasmus+ Small Scale Partnership initiative, designed to inspire and maintain young girls' interest in STEM fields. During and after the project period, the following objectives were focused on through a collaborative effort across Italy, Türkiye, Spain, and the Netherlands: - The exchange of innovative digital technologies and interdisciplinary learning methodologies among educators will be facilitated. - A handbook featuring activities designed to boost girls' participation and motivation in STEM will be developed and disseminated. - The STEM-related skills of 15 female students will be enhanced through specialized learning and training activities. The handbook includes four distinct learning models—project-based, problem-based, engineering design process, and inquiry-based learning. Digital tools aligned with sustainable development goals have been integrated, ensuring an engaging and impactful educational experience. Today, as we celebrate Youth Day under this year's theme, "From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development," we are thrilled to announce our new partnership with BOSEJA Girls. This collaboration aims to support marginalized youth, with a particular focus on empowering girls. Through this partnership, BOSEJA will provide training through their ‘Beyond Classroom Initiative' which will provide girls in Mmashoro with access to computers and essential digital resources. This initiative is crucial as it equips these girls with vital computer skills, including basic proficiency in software applications, internet navigation, coding, and drone technology. Teaching marginalized girls technology is not just about providing them with technical skills; it’s about offering them a pathway to greater opportunities and breaking the cycle of inequality.
