Victory for our health & environmental justice! On Tuesday, August 6, the DC Circuit Court of Appeals vacated the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) re-approval of Rio Grande and Texas LNG facilities in Brownsville, TX. The Court agreed with us that FERC failed to adequately assess the environmental justice impacts of the project and how it would harm communities in the region. This is the first time a court vacated FERC approval of an LNG terminal. Now, we must keep up the pressure to stop new LNG fracked gas export facilities for good!
