One thing we love and will always do at our events is a pre-event briefing. About half an hour before doors open, we gather everyone to align on goals, target audience, and key tasks. Marcus did an amazing job by giving specific questions to ask attendees, like "What's one thing you took away from the presentation?" instead of generic greetings. This approach not only ensures everyone knows their role but also how to engage effectively with attendees. Want to learn more? The #podcast episodes keep stacking up! Not only have I already had a handful of #interviews, but I have a great guest list that needs some scheduling. However, as it happens, I'll announce on the podcast's LinkedIn page. One thing that I have learned from my little hospital stay is to relax a little, let loose and enjoy it all. I think you can hear that through the interviews that I have done. Interviewing is an art, frankly. Like most #journalists, when I started, it was a matter of being prepared with a list of questions - literally. I would have a set list of questions, often numbered, and go through the motions because all I needed was some answers to these inquiries. Or so I thought. What that does, depending on how rigidly you go through the questions, is create a conversation that reads more like a cereal box, with each answer being one more ingredient to the story you are trying to tell. But, frankly, if you've read one cereal box, if that's your thing, you have read them all. Every story ends up sounding the same. Every interview is a clone of the previous one. Instead, developing some improvisational skills - thank you SAK Comedy Lab (yes, Wayne Brady's old stomping grounds - will help you always be in the moment while you chat. That leads to dynamic conversations that differentiate. Thus far, in three conversations, I have touched on topics that have included non-alcoholic beers, Beyonce and scuba diving. The #improv comes in when the conversation turns to these topics and being able to carry the conversation into interesting caverns because of the way the guest takes them. Anyway, stay tuned for the episode schedule and stay tuned to Orlando Tech News for new content this week. It's a busy time but I LOVE IT!
Really excited to announce that we have just booked an interview with Amy Wise of the Special Olympics! She and I go way back to her days with a local #tech company in Orlando and I'm excited to jump on the #podcast with her later this week! Stay tuned as we are getting closer to announcing a release schedule for our podcast, as well. So far, we have had some great conversations. Thank you, again, to Safia Porter, Alexia Mandeville, Jon Eggleton and Raechel Canipe for being my first guests! Adding Mandalorian photo ... just because.

Content / Copywriting for service-based profesisonals who want to stand out, be seen and showcase their authority!
So, you have something exciting and you want to share it with the world. AMAZING! But don't just post, "Hey, I have an announcement..." Give it context and tell people what it means for them too. Instead of, "I had a big name on my podcast", talk about how that person influenced you and your business (and will impact your audiences). Instead of, "I have this really cool opportunity", talk about how it connects to the vision that you had when you started out (and why your audience benefits from it). Instead of, "I hit this milestone", talk about what it took to get there and what you learned along the way (and how your audience can learn too). Take your audience behind the scenes and really show the impact of what you're out there doing.
