While this is a very interesting articles on several levels, its most important lesson is that your people are always more important than technology. Having good equipment and the latest toys are fine, but having good people who are trained right and taken care of are 1,000,000 times better. Leadership is about relationships and trust not checking boxes and project management. This is a lesson that is as applicable to Law Enforcement, the Fire Service, Public Safety Dispatching, and Emergency Medical Services as it is to the Military. #police #policeofficer #policeofficers #officers #officer #policeman #cops #cop #lawenforcement #lawenforcementofficer #policetraining #lawenforcementtraining #policedepartment #policechief #sheriff #deputy #marshal #constable #p1 #iacp #leadership #leadershipmatters #leadershipdevelopment #copscountpolicematter #policematter #policingmatters #policing #firefighters #fireservice #firechief #fireman #dispatchers #911dispatch #dispatch #ems #emergencymedicalservices #usarmy #usmarines #usmarinecorps #usmc #usairforce #usnavy #nationalguard #armyreserve #specialforces #greenberet #specialoperations #swat #tactical #ussocom #army #marines #navy #airforce #navyseals #quietprofessionals #missionfirstmenalways https://lnkd.in/gsvpmcHY

The joint exercise Eagle Partner 24 saw U.S. and Armenian troops utilizing Bastion armored personnel carriers (APCs). The exercise, which commenced on July 15, 2024, and concludes on July 24, marks the second iteration of this partnership initiative, showcasing a notable expansion in both participation and scope compared to its predecessor in September 2023. Eagle Partner 24 focuses on improving interoperability between U.S. and Armenian forces during peacekeeping and stability operations. Participants include servicemembers from the peacekeeping brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, the U.S. Army Europe and Africa, and the Kansas National Guard. The exercise emphasizes stabilization tasks amid conflicting parties, aiming to enhance the readiness of the Armenian unit for international peacekeeping missions. The drill also facilitates the exchange of best practices in control and tactical communication, crucial for units preparing for future operations. Central to the exercise is the use of the Bastion APC, a versatile 4×4 armored vehicle produced by French company ACMAT, a subsidiary of ARQUUS, formerly known as Renault Trucks Defense. The Bastion APC is designed with blast protection technology, providing a reliable and safe platform for troops in hostile environments. In 2023, Armenia has reportedly taken delivery of the first batch of Bastion armored vehicles from the French defense company Arquus, formerly known as Renault Trucks Defense. It is worth noting that the Bastion armored vehicles received by Armenia are the same vehicles that Arquus pledged to deliver to Ukraine in 2022 from its stock of 24 units with 26 in production. The acquisition of the Bastion armored vehicles is seen as a significant step in bolstering Armenia’s defense capabilities amid regional security concerns. It is particularly valued for its off-road mobility and multi-role capacity, making it an ideal choice for operations requiring agility and durability. #military #defense #defence #militaryleak https://lnkd.in/gnxqY-2k

"... since October troops deployed to the Middle East have regularly faced drone, mortar and missile attacks from Iran-backed militias, totaling more than 180 injuries in 170 incidents". I think this number is on the low side. "The mission in Iraq, Syria and Jordan is to keep ISIS under control, mostly through special operations forces working with local forces to carry out kill-or-capture operations on known ISIS leadership. To support that mission, thousands of conventional troops also deploy..." United States Department of Defense USSOCOM National Guard Bureau USCENTCOM #dod #socom #nationalguard #centcom

Enough of this bureaucratic BS! I have three questions for the USSS Director: 1. Was the site survey adequately prepared, reviewed, and implemented? 2. Does the USSS use the “Unified Command, Communications, and Control” concept in its event operations with an Incident Commander, Operations Officer, Communications Officer, Logistics Officer, and Liaison Officer at a Command Post? 3. Enough of this bureaucratic CYA. In the military and in business, the leader is responsible for both successes and failures. In successes the leader is rewarded, in failures the leader is told to leave. This needs to be the case at the USSS, other government bureaucracies, and in politics. So, leave!

Warrior Diplomat 📜 | Advocate of Irregular Warfare 🥷| Challenging the Narrative ✍️| Fighting for Faith 📖 | Iraq & Afghanistan Veteran
I am going to add to a post I saw earlier today from the Irregular Warfare Initiative regarding Stability Policing Operations..... This is one of the most obvious, overlooked and underutilized aspects of Civil Affairs capabilities. USACAPOC employs HUNDREDS of individual soldiers working for Federal, State and Local law enforcement agencies. These soldiers are SPECIALY trained in TTP's well outside DOD's current capabilities. They have access to some of the most high tech equipment, software packages and unique capture methods that most folks in the military have NEVER seen or heard of. (and they are obtaining real world experiences on a daily basis) These soldiers are EXPERTS in conducting SSE, basic medical care, operational planning and coordinating Humanitarian Aid.......and can train others in these methods. They have a fundamental understanding of how to negotiate, problem solve, when to apply violence and when not to......a "Warrior Diplomat" They are expert communicators, they have access to contacts within DOJ/OGA who can provide tactical and technical level assistance (capabilities and funding) as many of those 3 letter entities are running around in the same sandbox. I CANNOT scream loud enough for people to understand how vitally important USACAPOC is to the militaries CA/PSYOP capabilities. The implementation of a 38G6H should be on the forefront of US army recruiting initiatives. The amount of information, understanding of civilian intelligence gathering processes, LEO technical capabilities and the types of relationships these soldiers could bring to SOCOM is unmatched. Hopefully someone will listen....... because conducting LENGTHY stability operations like these (ROL) in semi-permissive environments does not currently fall within the job description of USSOCOM or our conventional force structure. It can only be found in the Reserve Component contained within USACAPOC. When the bullets and bombs slow down and the enemy removes their uniform (and they will), they will blend into the surrounding population and fight like every other conflict we have faced in the last 2 decades and we will not be ready....... #civilaffairs #socom #usacapoc #psyop #army #veteran #military #irregularwarfare

What can we learn from experience so far in multicomponent and joint, interorganizational, and multinational (JIM) level teaming in CA operations to improve CA integration in strategic competition, LSCO, post-conflict consolidation, and irregular warfare? What DOTMLPF-P changes should occur within and beyond current capacities? How should they be prioritized and implemented? The Civil Affairs Association is looking for CA issue papers to address these questions and present them at the 15-17 November Symposium in Philadelphia, PA. Case studies of multicomponent CA team deployments operations and exercises involving JIM partners are especially welcome, as are CA functional specialists teaming with JIM partners and academic institutions. This week the U.S. Army released a White Paper outlining the refocusing of its force structure for large-scale combat operations to address evolving threats and technological advancements. This strategic shift not only underscores the Army's adaptability, but also opens a plethora of opportunities for government contractors in defense modernization, capability enhancement, and support services. Key aspects of the transition include the addition of 30 new or upgraded systems across critical modernization portfolios, the build out of Multi-Domain Task Forces, and investment in the force structure supporting integrated air and missile defense. As the Army aims to streamline its force and bolster readiness, the demand for innovative solutions and partnerships will be paramount. #DefenseInnovation #MilitaryModernization #GovernmentContracting #ArmyTransformation #NationalSecurity #TechnologyAdvancement #MultiDomainOperations #DefenseIndustry #MilitaryReadiness Ward & Berry, PLLC, Ryan Berry, Daniel Ward, Ryan Bradel, Amanda Merced, Eric Kronman, Michael Hatch, Tyson Marx, Chelsea Padgett, Camille Chambers, Brian Yu, Nicholas Perry, International Stability Operations Association (ISOA)
