We had an impressive team of athletes take on the challenging ‘2024 Palm Beaches Spartan Event Weekend’ in April at Sunset Cove Amphitheater in Boca Raton! Simmons & White’s Josh Gibson, Eric Vettel, Rob Rennebaum, and Paul Buri competed alongside Paul’s children Jack, Gunnar, Bradley, and Madelyn. Some outstanding achievements included: 🏆 Eric placed 1st in his age group and 5th overall for the open race! 🏆 Bradley broke the pull up record for his age group! 🏆 Jack competed in the adult race for the 1st time! Awesome effort and great results from Team SW!! 🥇💯👏 Spartan

In my opinion, this falls in line with buy low, sell high. I see far too many people buy high thinking it's going to continue. This is a bigger issue for the people thinking short term. #financialliteracy #longterm #planning #diversification #retirement #markets
Will this year’s Kentucky Derby winner achieve the prestigious Triple Crown? It’s unlikely. Since 1875, just 13 Kentucky Derby champs have won all three races.

Watching the IMSA - International Motor Sports Association Detroit race today with Benjamin Bates Every single person on the race team knows *exactly* what they’re responsible to produce. The results are pretty clear. Nutty things happen in races. There’s little to no control over the track conditions or the competition. This makes me think about high performance teams in business. We can’t guarantee success but we can put our team in the best position to achieve it. How’s your team? Is every single person “race team clear”?

David Brown (the 2-time American World Record Holder known as “the fastest completely blind athlete in history,”) and his guide, Jerome Avery (his role is to keep David in the lane) are known as “Team BrAvery.” They epitomize the meanin' and value of bein' awarded...trust. Have you earned that badge of honor...if not / why not / what's your dang hold-up?

“In the summer of 1965, pickleball was founded by Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell and Barney McCallum on Bainbridge Island, Washington. Within days, Joan Pritchard had come up with the name “pickle ball”—a reference to the thrown-together leftover non-starters in the “pickle boat” of crew races. What does pickle mean in pickleball? If you're pickled when playing pickleball, it doesn't mean anything good. The term refers to scoring 0 points. If you score even 1 point, you've not been pickled, but an 11-0 game means the losing side was pickled.” (www.paddletek.com) D. J. 𝑯𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒖𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔, 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆❗ Age is just a number. Older professionals are self-motivated and disciplined in perfecting their craft. They are excellent candidates for the workplace. They bring wisdom and experience and can be mentors to younger employees. They can extrapolate and fill in gaps in knowledge because they have years of experience to draw upon. And they don't need hand holding; they are resourceful. They are motivated to contribute and be relevant in today's world. Other nations value and respect their seniors but in the U.S. we discard our seniors. This thinking has to change as we have a tsunami of baby boomers who are mentally and physically fit and eager to keep on working. Let's employ them and pair them with younger workers who can learn from them. I specialize in transitioning late career, mature professionals and senior executives, either advance or reinvent their careers. Imagine having a conversation with your peers and you asked them about Michele Jordan, Lebron James, Larry Bird, Mia Hamm, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, etc and they responded with "who"? You would be flabbergasted, wouldn't you? This is how I feel when I talk about the great Major Taylor. A man that doesn't get the recognition he deserves. His story inspired me in more ways than I can explain. I was competing in the road world championships, 100 years after Major won his first world title in 1899. Check out this doc to learn more. https://lnkd.in/gZbx_HDG
