A common theme the last few days at Fiber Connect was broadband providers wanting to improve their ability to scale their operation. Why? Because they recognize they need to grow, and they can’t dilly-dally around in doing it. How do you scale? You standardize. Technology Processes Contractors Timelines Everything has to be built in a way that you can rinse and repeat and deliver the same experience consistently. The ways of the past (Frankenstein networks, mix and match offerings, every installer for themselves) will no longer work. If you standardize, you can scale. If you can scale, you can win. #broadband #fiber #sethtalks

If you're contemplating signing up for Astound Broadband.... talk to me first. Or TLDR.... - Internet service: great offering, if it worked. Should be 600 Mbps (wired) service. It is. Sometimes. But when I really need it, it drops to 1.5Mbps. The main issue is the lack of reliability. And this is after 7 service calls that involved replacing some equipment on poles in my neighborhood. Still falky. - Mobile. The network itself is T-Mobile, which seems to be pretty good in the greater Boston area. However, they seem to have issues keeping my service configured to stay on. I tired the service for a few days, then ported my number. Well, the port 'got lost' after a billing cycle, which means that I'm only able to make emergency calls. Offering is enticing, but ability to deliver on the offer , well, its subpar.

Don't want to deal with cell phone network outages? Switch to a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) such as Ting Mobile who uses both T-Mobile and Verizon networks and charges half the price. How do they do it? Simple: By not wasting money on office space and marketing campaigns. I switched to them and coverage is better than I was getting before, and there have been zero outages. https://lnkd.in/eFi3BQPr #cellphonewoes #cellphones #tmobile #verizon #att #CRE #commercialrealestate
