🛫 Aviation Time Capsule takes us to the insights of instructor Enda Corneille. His vast experience offers a unique glimpse into a pivotal moment in aviation history. 🌐 💬 Enda reminisces, "The arrival of Ryanair in the mid-1980s was a game-changer. Working at Aer Lingus then, I witnessed the skepticism around Ryanair's £86.50 fare to London, dramatically lower than Aer Lingus' £380. The disbelief turned into awe as Ryanair not only survived but sparked the Low-Cost Airline revolution. This transformed global aviation, making air travel accessible to many for the first time. It's astounding to think that today's youth have never known a world without low-cost air travel." 📷 Enda shared some hidden gems back from the day. For 2024, let's appreciate how certain changes have opened the skies to millions, reshaping our world in the process. #AviationTimeCapsule #ReflectingOnChange #IndustryEvolution #Ryanair

In time for summer 2024, United Airlines is launching a new route from San Francisco to Barcelona on May 23, 2024, and it is slated to run through Oct. 25. The 5,970-mile flight service will operate daily between San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN) with Boeing 777-200ER planes. The aircraft is outfitted with 50 Polaris business-class lie-flats, 24 Premium Plus recliners, 46 Economy Plus seats, and 156 standard economy seats. The airline already flies nonstop to Barcelona from #Newark, Chicago O’Hare, and Washington/Dulles. The new #SanFrancisco route will make the airline the only U.S. carrier to fly nonstop between SFO and Europe, joining #Spain’s national carrier Iberia. United plans to operate 30% more flights to Spain during 2024 as compared to 2023. This includes service to five destinations in Spain, three of which — #Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, and #Tenerife — are exclusive to United as no other U.S. airline flies to these three destinations. #iberia #barcelona #usatospain #flightstoeurope #traveleurope #boeing777200er #boeing777 #flighttospain #unitedairlines #polaris #elprat #europe_vacation #ustoeurope #usaviation #flights #palmademallorca

KlasJet, a private and corporate jet charter company, will increase its capacity in the Middle East with the placement of an additional Boeing 737 in Saudi Arabia. The aircraft offers luxury and extravagant accommodations and will join another 737 that KlasJet moved to Dubai last year, continuing the company’s expansion in the region which is fastest-growing business aviation market in the world. “We are increasing the options to cater to customers in the Middle East market because there is a growing need to transport larger groups and delegations,” Lukas Petrauskas, Chief Commercial Officer at KlasJet, said. “We are confident that our luxury Boeing 737 will be an ideal choice for extended families, members of royal families, sports teams, business travellers, and political delegations who have yet to be served by aircraft currently in the regional charter fleet.” The Boeing 737 features 56 spacious and comfortable business-class seats, with a cabin experience curated and tailored by KlasJet to ensure a luxurious and high-quality flight for all passengers onboard. The aircraft is meticulously crafted with attention to detail, offering subtle and distinguished taste throughout the cabin to enhance the travel experience. “While our service has earned a reputation for quality across the world, the additional aircraft and crew will build upon the experience we have earned operating in Dubai,” Petrauskas said. “Our relationships with our clientele in the region have given an enhanced understanding of the taste and nuances of customers, so the experience and potential of every flight is maximised.” KlasJet currently operates six 737s for VIP charter services as well as seven 737 next-generation aircraft for ACMI. The ACMI fleet aircraft bolster the capability to cater to larger groups, while the 737 provides a luxurious option for smaller groups and high-ranking individuals. Fleet availability is subject to customer needs, and the company is working to maximize its flexibility for this coming event season. #aircraft #businessaviation #middleeast #jets #aviationindustry
