At SIPA, we believe in supporting our community and protecting our environment. That's why we were proud of our donation to Amici Parco Bolda to help restore their park after severe weather damage. The park is once again a safe and beautiful space for everyone to enjoy. We're honored to have played a part in its revitalization. #SIPA #CommunityFirst #EnvironmentalResponsibility #InvestingInOurFuture #StormRecovery

Can you help us Seed the Change this April? For the first year ever, we are taking part in the Big Give, Green Match Fund. The campaign is live for one week only, between 18th-25th April 2024, and at midday next Thursday we will launch our Seed the Change campaign. Our target is £20,000 and we only have ONE WEEK to do it! Can you help us spread the word? £2,500 will help us install an advanced mooring system, helping to protect valuable seagrass meadows from damage. £1,000 helps us install a marker buoy to help water users identify sensitive habitats and steer clear. £1,600 helps us take carbon core samples to understand the effectiveness of sequestered carbon. £400 helps us take eDNA samples to understand the incredible biodiversity of our meadows. £300 helps us engage a community, sharing our love of seagrass and helping more water users understand why it needs our respect and protection. £5 covers the price of a natural fibre mat that we use to place our seagrass seedlings onto the seabed. I am really excited about Severn River Association's #oysterrestoration program this summer! It's kicking off next month in three big ways: 1) We are putting in 10 MILLION #oysters on our #restoration reef at Traces Hollow 2a with the help of our partners Oyster Recovery Partnership -- and with YOUR HELP (see the match grant alert below): https://lnkd.in/g9UgCMY7 2) Our #MarylandersGrowOysters program participants will be planting their home-grown oysters on a different area of Traces Hollow starting June 1. SRA has the largest MGO program with over 300 households growing oysters in cages off of docks/piers for nine months while the spat on shell grow big and strong enough for planting on a #reef. 3) With our boat Sea Girl finally repaired and back in the water, we will be fitting her with a newly designed instrument. Late this summer that instrument will pump oyster #larvae onto yet another #restorationreef for 'direct setting', a new technique that may be able to supplement (but not supplant) our other restoration techniques. This is thanks to a grant from Chesapeake Bay Trust and the Chesapeake Oyster Alliance. #ConnectProtectRestore #OysterRestoration #SevernRiver #EnvironmentalConservation #OysterReef #MarineConservation #SustainableFuture #EcoFriendly #CommunityImpact #MarylandersGrowOysters #ReefRestoration #SpatOnShell #OysterRecovery #HealthyEcosystems #SupportLocal #NonProfit #ChesapeakeBay #ChesapeakeOysters #OceanHealth #AquaticLife #ConservationEfforts #SeaGirl #InnovationInRestoration #OysterLarvae #RestorationTechniques

Hands down, my favourite day of the WHOLE YEAR is the one where we sit together as a team and select charities to support. This year, we are proud to support six UK-based charities working to support and restore ecosystems and habitats. Our 1% for the Planet pledge means that we have committed to giving a minimum of 1% of revenue (not profits!) every year to environmental causes around the world. In a world where "doing the right thing" is often considered too inconvenient or too expensive, this is one way that we can give back. Supporting grass-roots charities in this way means so much to the charities, and to us as a company. It's a MUCH better use of money than frittering it away to shareholders or bonuses or corporate away days. What if your company joined ? #giving #environmental #EarthDay
We are proud to support several incredible charities through 1% for the Planet, contributing to positive environmental impact. Join us in supporting organizations like seawilding.org, bumblebeeconservation.org, beavertrust.org, globalgeneration.org.uk, justadrop.org, and healrewilding.org.uk to protect our planet for future generations. Together, let’s make a difference! #earthday2024 #1percentfortheplanet #environmentalimpact #charitysupport #earthday

What does it mean to be #OneBottlelessNation? It means aligning our businesses and charitable donations with companies and organizations that encourage the reduction of plastic waste and responsible living practices, all while addressing the clean water crisis that many communities face. Being One Bottleless Nation means coming behind these initiatives to help better our world both from an eco-friendly standpoint and a philanthropic one. To be a part of Bottleless Nation is to be a part of something that impacts the present and the future.

We have a challenge for you… Match your water bill this month & donate it to Set Free. Your water bill provided clean water for your family for one month. When you match that amount, you'll provide clean water for families for a lifetime. This is a challenge to become a solution to the water crisis. This is a challenge to make an impact in hundreds of peoples’ lives. This is a challenge to give generously and help us drill more wells that will provide water for 100 years. 💧Will you take on the challenge & make a difference?💧 #EndWaterCrisis #CleanWaterForAll #SupportCleanWater #WaterForAll #WaterDonation #CommunitySupport #MakeAWaterDifference #TransformLives

"The earth will not continue to offer its harvest, except with faithful stewardship." -St. John Paul II Happy #EarthDay! 🌍 It's the perfect opportunity to share how Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska is answering the call and leading the way in #sustainability (one of our core values!) and environmental responsibility. We invite you to join us in our efforts to be good stewards of our environment by donating new or used items to CSS. Our goal is to extend the lifecycle of your donations through regifting, reselling, or recycling them and therefore mitigating the potential of your items ending up in the landfill. ♻️ Client needs are our first priority. When you donate an item, we evaluate how it can help our clients the most- by either regifting it to a family in need of that specific item or by reselling it. All funds from resold items are then used to assist clients and families needing financial assistance for rent, utilities, medical bills, or fuel. If we cannot regift or resell your item, we recycle it so it can be repurposed and help the environment. Join us and together, we will make a #HopeInTheGoodLife difference! 💚🧡💙 Learn more at csshope.org.

60% of goods donated during disasters end up in landfills. Don’t do a random product drive. You can’t control what people will drop off. It often costs more to deliver / ship things to where it is needed. Don’t donate things that aren’t asked for. Panel discussion with Tracy Ganti with World Central Kitchen (Chef Andes’ relief organization that brings hot, comforting meals in the aftermath of a crisis), Kate Laepple Hertzog with Cencora, Chauncia Willis-Johnson with Institute for Diversity and Inclusion in Emergency Management and Jim Alvey at Good360
