Bank Holiday...what's that? 😜 I'm yet to fully take advantage of all Bank Holidays or fully taking time off for holiday since I started my self employed journey. I sort of do a mish mash of hours and never completely relax. This is partly due to funds as I have not cracked the money side enough to pay myself holiday yet. But I think there is something in how I have set things up that could change to help me achieve this. It's down to me ...I have my goal so now need to work out how I can realistically achieve it and give myself a little kick up the Jacksie to get on with it! What systems have helped you the most? Friday thoughts Enjoy the smashing choc in your face weekend 🐣 #virtualassistant #virtualassistantservices #projectcoordinator

Do you work on Bank Holidays? It's bank holiday in Ireland today, hence the question. If I have clients and an audience outside Ireland that does not share the same holiday (like today) I often find myself doing some work. (And by the way, I am ok with that). It's part of the rhythm of catering to a global clientele. 🌍 Do you have a rule here? #WorkLifeBalance #GlobalBusiness #BankHolidayThoughts

Joy Coach for Sensitive Souls | Helping sensitive humans break free from overthinking and emotional exhaustion, and live their life with inner power and joy
Something I read today and liked: “We are all homesick, longing for our true home. Too often the protective trench [that offers us shelter from an impersonal, uncaring and uncontrollable world] transforms into a rut, a hamster-wheel with no exits. The achievements that once promised purpose and satisfaction have not really lived up to their expectations. The office with a view has conferred status but not real confidence; the bank account may have grown in value but is never enough. On the heels of expectation, disappointment follows. And more often than not, this is accompanied by recrimination. The blame might target a spouse or a boss, a city or a president; then changing partners or jobs or houses looks like the perfect way to regenerate a life that has gotten stuck. The difficulty here is that this benign-looking repetition keeps the longing for freedom just below the surface. And the so-called normalcy of hamster-wheel activity keeps people running away from themselves.” From the book - "In Love with the World" by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche

Today’s forecast at Provident Bank in Hazlet- plan, list, do. When you have weather like we did today (snow, ice, rain, etc.) it is the perfect opportunity to catch up with the staff and your clients, since many will not come in to the bank. ❄️ I sat with my employees and did some coaching. We went over something that they would like to challenge themselves with this year, something that will make them step out of their comfort zones. Those conversations included habits to create for growth and knowledge. 💡 This was also the perfect day to check in with our customers. We got on the phone to say “Hello and Happy New Year”. We spoke about their financial plans for the year and were even able to set some appointments. ✔️💰✔️ So even though it was a dreery cold day, we made it successful and productive 😊 How did you spend your day? Did you experience the arctic blast like we did? #providentbank #todolist #habit #growth #productivity #clientoutreach

This time, over the weekend. I ponder on some important financial aspects of life especially after the recent recession we facing in Pakistan. 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥-𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝟏. 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝: Have enough savings to cover six months of your expenses. It’s your safety net for those unexpected moments. 𝟐. 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭, 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫: Make saving a priority. Only spend what’s left after you’ve put money aside. Trust me, future you will be grateful. 𝟑. 𝐀𝐢𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐭: If you can’t pay for it in cash, it’s probably not worth the stress. Financial peace of mind is priceless. 𝟒. 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐲: Skip the sale if you don’t really need it. Remember, the best discount is not buying it at all. Every little bit counts! 𝟓.
