📣 Exciting news: 20 projects to advance renewable energy-based alternatives to fossil fuel generators in the Philippines and Nigeria have been selected to receive a share of £2 million funding, as part of the Zero Emission Generators (ZE-Gen) Technology Accelerator 🔋 👏    ⚡️ The ZE-Gen Technology Accelerator is a multi-stage competition aiming to fast-track the innovations needed to effectively replace fossil-fuel generators with renewable energy-based alternatives in target regions.    The selected projects include:  🔋 Innovative approaches to energy storage  💵  Cost reducing solutions with a focus on local affordability  ☀️ Innovations harnessing wind and solar power 🥘  Renewable energy-powered solutions for cooking and cooling  🏫  Innovations to support local infrastructure like schools and hospitals    ZE-Gen is a collaborative initiative led by The Carbon Trust and Innovate UK with support from the IKEA Foundation and UK aid through the UK government’s Ayrton Fund    Find out more about the projects below ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/e4ACWQTs Transforming Energy Access Swanbarton Light Of Hope PH BPP-Technical | Cables | Renewables Mobile Power Access to Energy Institute  Tree-Associates Hinckley Associates Nigeria Ewaste Collection & Recycling Association Phase Change Material Products Ltd.
