Dubai’s hospitality sector is expected to scale at a 5% CAGR from US$7.37Bn in 2023 to US$9.46Bn by 2028. The recent #TheHotelShow at the DWTC venue showcased the continuing rise of Dubai as a pivotal hub for global hospitality - connecting industry experts and world-renowned brands, with influential buyers, and experience curators. What was particularly interesting was to see the evolution of a traditional industry, featuring advancements in techonological prowess and being able to appreciate, assimilate and leverage cutting-edge #NewEconomy engines like AI, Blockchain, and the Metaverse. Case-in-point: Hilton Hotel brand partnership with @Slivingland in the Metaverse, allowing guests to earn real-world hotel loyalty points. Strong #partnerships and dedicated #teams have made these half-year achievements possible. A big thank you to our Accor teams all around the globe for making these results possible. Here are some highlights of the results at a glance: 1️⃣ Group EBITDA amounted to €504 million, up 13% relative to the first half-year of 2023 2️⃣ A consolidated 11% revenue increase compared to the second half of 2023 for the Group, reflecting strong growth across all divisions and segments 3️⃣ The Luxury & Lifestyle (L&L) division posted an 8% increase in RevPAR compared to the second quarter of 2023, mainly driven by higher occupancy rates We have many exciting developments on the horizon for the rest of the year and our pipeline now ready close to 1300 #hotels. S City will cut the time you share scrolling through lengthy social media posts to find what to do this weekend in Doha. For merchants, we provide your customers with 27/7 support & expose your events to 100K+ active customers on Snoonu - it’s a game changer📈 Coming from a Business background, I’ve learnt many valuable Product - Tech lessons through building this product from 0 along with Snoonu leaders: 1. “Just do it” - Hamad Mubarak Al-Hajri. The MVP we’ve launched is far from perfect, but by launching it we’re now able to validate real customer problems & seize competitive contracts. 2. “Always back your solutions with actual customer problems” - Matthew Neff. There are 10,000 more features that would make this app “better”, but you only have X engineers. It’s all about prioritizing which customers’ problems you’re solving first & what you will be ok with being worse at for now. 3. “Make business decisions informed by tech estimations & capability - not the other way around” - Artem Lobachev & Max Nechaev . The key value a PM brings is maximizing business values while creating a balanced work environment for developers - this means a constant negotiation for reasonable deadlines with close understanding of capacity. My team grew twice in size within 6 months, with the help of many others - and I’m immensely grateful to learn from each member. From development process, design thinking, quality management to dedication & team work - thank you so much for creating S City! This is a so amazing place to be if you want to meet all the professionals of leisure industry 🎡🎢🎠 🎳 🎯🎱🎮 My only (big) regret is that F&B professionals are not there 🤔 Where are you 👀 F&B suppliers, distributors, producers ?? Where are you 🔍 food tech professionals ? This market is a huge and growing market and you have to be present IAAPA Expo Europe. The professional leaders of leisure do need us to find solutions for their F&B, to help them to increase revenue, margin and visitors satisfaction. Let's make the IAAPA Expo Europe a place to be for F&B Leisure Solutions. The F&B must be part of the visitors experience and contribute to his satisfaction. Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has undoubtedly boosted revenues, but we were curious to see how these uplifts compare across different locations and against other major events. 🔍 Our analysis of daily sales within a 3-mile radius of Wembley Stadium in June 2024 vs. June 2023 reveals some fascinating insights. 𝗧𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗳𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱, comparable to last year’s Concert for Ukraine.
