End of My First Month at Glenside Commercials! Well, time flies when you're having fun! 🌟 Having spent years at a Ford main dealer and then a stint at a large commercial vehicle broker, stepping back into the dealership environment felt a bit like déjà vu. The motor trade is a whirlwind, changing faster than a teenager’s mood swings, but I’ve embraced the chaos! Diving headfirst into the world of IVECO and Fiat Professional products was a wild ride. Within days, I made my first sale—talk about starting off with a bang! 🎉 And just a week in, I delivered a sale to a customer who was down two tippers and needed a miracle. Spoiler alert: I delivered. 🚛✨ Reconnecting with old customers and sparking new relationships has been a blast. LinkedIn has been my trusty sidekick, helping me meet fantastic folks from various industries and show off the incredible range we offer. When I moved from a main dealer to a broker, I was warned it wouldn’t be my cup of tea and I wouldn't deal with the work environment. But let me tell you, I loved every minute! The friendships I made and the distance sales skills I learned were invaluable. The motor industry is evolving—phone and online sales are booming like never before! So, when Glenside Commercials/Carrier Transicold Southern/Iveco/Fiat Professional offered me a chance to sell commercial vehicle that are being highly developed and are growing in market share with a mix of face-to-face and distance selling, I jumped at it.
