End of My First Month at Glenside Commercials! Well, time flies when you're having fun! 🌟 Having spent years at a Ford main dealer and then a stint at a large commercial vehicle broker, stepping back into the dealership environment felt a bit like déjà vu. The motor trade is a whirlwind, changing faster than a teenager’s mood swings, but I’ve embraced the chaos! Diving headfirst into the world of IVECO and Fiat Professional products was a wild ride. Within days, I made my first sale—talk about starting off with a bang! 🎉 And just a week in, I delivered a sale to a customer who was down two tippers and needed a miracle. Spoiler alert: I delivered. 🚛✨ Reconnecting with old customers and sparking new relationships has been a blast. LinkedIn has been my trusty sidekick, helping me meet fantastic folks from various industries and show off the incredible range we offer. When I moved from a main dealer to a broker, I was warned it wouldn’t be my cup of tea and I wouldn't deal with the work environment. But let me tell you, I loved every minute! The friendships I made and the distance sales skills I learned were invaluable. The motor industry is evolving—phone and online sales are booming like never before! So, when Glenside Commercials/Carrier Transicold Southern/Iveco/Fiat Professional offered me a chance to sell commercial vehicle that are being highly developed and are growing in market share with a mix of face-to-face and distance selling, I jumped at it. I have to give it up to Nathanael Greklek and the team at Mohawk Auto Group. Dealers, take notes. Their hard work and dedication is paying off with international praise and an invested audience. I can’t help but watch and smile when I encounter their TikToks and reels. 🤠👀 Sure, viral doesn’t necessary equate to more local vehicles sold. But it can equate to more nationally-delivered vehicles sold. It can improve brand recognition. It can improve brand affinity. It can improve loyalty. Heck, I have a feeling this is also helping improve employee retention (which always equates to improved sales and CSX). Well done, gang!
