Tomorrow is our #WellnessDay at #McKesson! Woohoo! (and on another note, y'all, this year has FLOWN by)   Grateful to work within a company that is putting action to our #employee opinion survey results and offering up strong solutions, such as initiating a companywide wellness day. #onemckesson   So what does this mean, just another day off? Yes, AND/BUT with a strong focus on what makes you feel #healthy. Wellness, as defined by the Global Wellness Day organization, “is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices towards a healthy and fulfilling life. It is more than being free from illness, it is a dynamic process of change and growth. A good or satisfactory condition of existence; a state characterized by health, happiness, and prosperity; welfare.”   Lots of good words with strong meanings to take care of yourself holistically, develop #balance (whatever that means for you), and keep a #positive and #proactive approach to life (focus on progress not perfection here!).   I asked a few colleagues what they were doing for “Your Day, Your Way”.  It was inspiring to hear that there would be family celebrations, playing outdoor sports, hiking, and spa appointments. Especially inspiring to hear that our #leaders are taking advantage of this, setting the example and living out values associated with people and life-work balance.   For me, I am looking forward to spending time with my husband, working on a piece of artwork, practicing my Pickleball serve, and dinner with friends. Another Celebration 🌈 Congrats Diana Firth on this weeks corporate wellness workshop with WELLOGA. --> When no one wants to log off, and the questions are rolling in, you have to ask - what can we learn from this? This week, Diana held a 45-minute virtual session. See the post for more. We all teach from a central virtual location, so when a class goes longer than expected or there are many comments, we investigate. We need to amend or uncover the magic! In this case, Diana's content was finished on time, but her 10-minute question time was NOT ENOUGH! There was so much involvement, and that's what we want. Jenn (Jennifer Doheney) met with the client partners to discuss, being mindful of the fact surplus time was taken. How to fix? What went so well? 💡 What do we attribute it to? 1/ The right topic for the right group - useful information they asked for. 2/ A kind, informed and candid speaker. 3/ Trust built with the audience - even in an online environment, it can be done. 4/ People trust WELLOGA more as we move along with montly programming. ***** Diana asked : Why are you here? {comments from employess"} 🗣 "I have a mindful of cobwebs.... I need to do some dusting, Balancing work and life and house - and life that keeps me on my toes with all of the unexpected." 🗣 "How to balance it all and not feel out of whack. 🗣 "I'm excited." 🗣 "physically clearing out my space with stuff I don't need." 🗣 "I tend to keep stuff "just in case" I may need it one day." 🗣 "As a Nana to 8 grandchildren, still working, and a retired hubby - I need to get balanced.
