For busy medical students like Manuel Suárez, having all the materials they need in one convenient place on AccessMedicine and AccessMedicina allows them to study more strategically. 💬 Manuel says, “We don’t just have access to one single book on internal medicine. We have other options that you can compare and use for practice. So it’s really good that we can have different sources on the same topic and that they are all updated.” Of course, it’s not just aspiring doctors who benefit from these interactive learning resources — educators do, too. 💡 Learn more about how AccessMedicine and AccessMedicina are shaping the learning techniques and habits of both students and faculty at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Jalisco, Mexico. #EmpoweringLifelongLearning #MedicalEducation #MedEd #MedicalStudents

Why Is So Much Memorization Required for Medical School?? It’s no secret that medical students have to know vast amounts of information–everything from complex chemical processes to the symptoms of numerous diseases. A solid foundation of medical knowledge is essential to helping doctors succeed when they transition to clinical settings in residency programs and beyond. While it can be challenging to master the elaborate topics taught in medical school, tools such as mnemonics and other memorization techniques help commit the information to memory. Check out our first blog post to learn about the unique challenges of memorization in medical school and how Learvo can be a useful study aid. https://lnkd.in/ggdBe38T

Managing Director, Higher Education and Not-For-Profit Financial Advisory Group at Janney Montgomery Scott LLC
Universities with academic medical centers (AMCs) are important engines of innovation, educating future healthcare professionals, conducting critical research, and providing best-in-class patient care. Living up to this tripartite mission is increasingly competitive, and expensive. Some higher education institutions, have recently shifted strategy thereby reducing the impact of the clinical enterprise on consolidated university operating performance. Other institutions are leaning into their academic medical strategy through large investments in facilities and strategic partnerships. In this report we will examine some of the trends we’re seeing in the evolution of AMC strategy and the potential credit impact. #highereducation
