INSPIRATION Looking for some mid-week thought-provocation? Something to distract from your commute/your run or to listen while you sort washing?:-) The Marketing Society is a community of leaders who are continuous learners. Three Members recommended the following to me last week - and I’ve listened and they are brilliant. ——— 1. ‘HOW TO LIVE A GOOD LIFE’. ❤️Marc Nohr, Fellow of The Marketing Society recommended Michael Mosley’s final interview packed full of interesting nuggets on life. It’s well worth a listen for its behavioural insights too (referencing Dan Ariely’s paté experiment for example). 2. HOW TO INFLUENCE OTHERS. 💪🏼I loved reading Dr. Robert Cialdini’s seminal book ‘Influence’ years ago but had forgotten lots of it and I thoroughly enjoyed the interview between him and Mark Evans and Ritchie Mehta. It’s one of those I’m slightly reluctant to recommend as its got great insights in it I’m totally going to use… but I’d love your advice on that 😀 3. HOW TO BUILD A BILLION DOLLAR BRAND 💰 A top must-listen for those interested in agility and the founder mindset, and in seeing clearly how marketing investment and smartness can 4x a business success - some great insights on culture and customer-centricity from a great example of a CMO change leader - bravo Kory Marchisotto on a brilliant interview with Jon Evans. Particularly enjoyed her pace-setting perspectives and the need for speed storytelling here (great quote below), but also a good illustration of the seminal impact of a CMO who leads human-centred growth. Well worth a listen. Links below - (let me know if you listen) and thanks to all in our global community who share what’s helpful and useful to their ambitions. #leadership #life #learning #CMOs #superfastthebook #staycurious

Three Key Takeaways: Listen Without Judgment: Embrace all feedback as it comes, without immediate analysis. Document Everything: Writing down feedback not only shows your engagement but also helps in future analysis. Report Back: Let your feedback providers know how you've implemented their suggestions. It closes the loop and validates their effort! Once you put something out there, criticism is inevitable. But in business, it’s essential to know who you’re listening to. Constructive criticism from experts or even competitors can be invaluable, especially when they pinpoint specifics, offering real insight on what went wrong and why. In a competitive world, the right feedback is a tool for growth, not a setback. 💡 #ConstructiveCriticism #BusinessGrowth #CreativeHead #Marketingstrategist

How to Get Big Results with a Small Budget. (It’s easier than you think!) I call it the ‘Impact Multiplier’ formula—because it stretches every dollar further. Here’s the best part: It works even if your resources are limited. Here’s what you need to do: → 1. Start with a clear objective. Set a specific, measurable goal for your program. → 2. Identify high-impact activities. I'd like you to focus on what truly moves the needle. → 3. Leverage existing partnerships. Use collaborations to share costs and expertise. → 4. Get creative with resources. Use tech, volunteers, or community-led solutions. → 5. Measure & Iterate. Continuously track progress and adapt your strategy. BONUS Tip: Think outside the box! Low-cost strategies often drive the highest impact. So, if you’re serious about impact, do more with what you have. What’s your go-to strategy for creating high-impact programs? #LeadershipTips #DoMoreWithLess
