We are thrilled to share a glimpse into the future of advanced LiDAR mapping! Over the past two years, Kav Medida and Skycatch have partnered to develop SCAN1, an innovative SLAM LiDAR system designed to revolutionize the construction and infrastructure industries. Although still in its prototype phase, SCAN1 integrates RTK loop closure mechanisms with precise LiDAR data collection. In the video, you can see the SCAN1 capturing a detailed 3D point cloud of a water tower and pumping station, both indoors and outdoors seamlessly into one data-set.
