Everyone knows I love airplanes especially luxurious private jets but this is not the reason for this post.  Once again, Happy New Year to everyone that finds this post. I reckon that as someone who loves to do things the right way, I might as well share some of the turn offs on this platform in 2023 and hope we can do better in 2024. 1) Please resist the urge to send anyone a direct message if you do not have anything productive to say. Messages like “Hi baby” , a plain “Hello” is beneath you as a professional. Act the part, please. 2) I and you are not more important than the others so when people take the time to leave a comment on your posts, whether they make sense or not, acknowledge it. Respond to everyone and not just some select few that you think are doing better than the rest.  3) Be kind. Kindness shows that you are self secure and not a wanna-be. Only wanna-be show off their insecurities by projecting on others. 4) Set your intentions and boundaries. In a space like this with so many people with different orientations, you are fully responsible for how you are perceived, how you are treated, what you tolerate so protect your space. Let's focuss on something potentially more sensitive This Flightradar24 tracker's video reports 525 business jets flights leaving Las Vegas after the Super Bowl 2024. Even if I guess this figure might be smaller since commercial airlines logos are seen on this video but remains well known air charter operators there. Question: is why not flightsharing on-demand for such events. To be honest, my working life before Airtable was incredibly frustrating. Systems were disjointed, inaccurate, and, to reuse the phrase, in desperate need of a single source of truth. Airtable has become that single source of truth, and now other departments want to use Airtable so as to relieve the pressures that they face by not having to access spreadsheets that are out of date and duplicate work inaccurately. It’s uplifting to see that Adobe (amongst many other commercial leviathans) also use Airtable, as I face the daily uphill battle in trying to convince the business as a whole that I have discovered gold and it’s incredibly valuable. But, it’s a battle that’s worth fighting. It’s an absolute joy to be able to create apps and manage data in a way that suits both yourself and the business, without having to involve expensive third parties who will never walk a mile in your shoes, so will therefore always provide solutions that are found wanting. Airtable amounts to a revolution of data management.
