A Call to Service and the Benefits of Volunteering.
Speaking at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Everybody can be great . . . because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”
It goes without saying that volunteering is good for others, but what if I told you that doing good is also good for you? It’s true. Giving of your time, energy, and effort often comes with big returns. #health

What’s good for others is often also good for you, body and mind. Volunteering can help you in these ways:
• It combats depression.
• It improves self-confidence.
• It helps you stay physically active.
• It increases happiness.
• It provides a sense of purpose.
Fantastic well done everybody! 👏 👏
