🎶 Teaching Tip Tuesday - Crayola! Check out this amazing chalk holder/drawing thingy! Wish I knew what it was called. My students are having so much fun with it. I think, even if you can’t find one to use in your classroom, using chalk on the concrete outside your room is a great practice idea anyway. Some interesting thoughts in here. It really resonates with my personal teaching journey from lots of decorations to a more "minimalist" view both in handouts and classroom decor. The idea prompts the question of making something "kid friendly"which generally equates to colour and cutesy decorations, cartoon thunderclouds etc. Bigger thoughts of societal expectations of education vs science of learning are also promoted, but that's some heavy thinking whole on term break. #cutesy #SoL #scienceoflearning #expectationvsreality #unhelpfuldecorations
