We're pleased to announce that Slenky will be supporting this year's Wembley Job Fair Event at Wembley Stadium this July, piloting an immersive and interactive employer engagement zone - the 'Take Your Shot' Zone (TYS Zone). If you've ever attended a job fair and thought, "These events need to change," or wondered what a 'digitally' upgraded event might look like, the TYS Zone is for you. The TYS Zone is a game-changing digital experience transforming the way businesses and job seekers connect. Instead of traditional pop-up banners and paper handouts, attendees will use their mobiles to discover brands and businesses. They'll interact with employers in real-time, applying for Shots (opportunities) and engaging in a dynamic and impactful way. Plus, they'll be able to save employer information to view and apply for Shots later, and share these employers with others in their social networks. Why is this needed? Because we no longer go online, we are online. The way we connect, engage, and discover opportunities has fundamentally changed, and it's time that job fairs evolved to reflect modern lifestyles too. The TYS Zone is our response to this shift, creating a more engaging and effective experience for both businesses and job seekers. A big thank you goes to Brent Council for recognising the importance of evolving job fairs and committing to adopting digital technology to help modern and diverse audiences engage with businesses. Interested in learning more? Visit this link: https://lnkd.in/e2Wn9j49 If your business would like to take part in the TYS Zone, we'd love to hear from you. Ever been to a job fair that left you feeling less than impressed? I attended one recently, and honestly, it fell short on so many levels. The venue felt dark, small, and unwelcoming (one guy left within 5 minutes without even looking around for this reason), and some exhibitors lacked clear branding, whilst others seemed to have no real value proposition for attendees - and don't even get me started on the (non-) use of technology. There were QR codes everywhere, but they definitely weren't being used effectively. What really got to me was the lack of consideration for attendees' experiences and perspectives. It felt like a lot of the setup was designed without them in mind. And honestly, even some of the exhibitors were disengaged, like they were just going through the motions with pens and pamphlets in hand that they desperately wanted (needed) to get rid of. Something else that really struck me was that this wasn't an isolated incident. There are countless other events like this happening all the time, offering sub-par experiences and little, if any, value for both businesses and attendees alike. That's why I'm genuinely excited to share what we'll be unveiling next month – and it's happening at none other than Wembley Stadium. Introducing the Take Your Shot Zone... https://lnkd.in/eXDZSFEB If you're interested in getting your business involved, we still have a few spaces left. Here's to a future where job fairs don't make me feel like I've wasted my time 📲

Okay, so Dyson job fair update. End of day one. We have a venue in Bristol now booked in for the 5th August. It will be during the day. Now capacity is 300. What we need: - employers with jobs that are signed off, good to go. You are in a position to hire, not some speculative 'talent pooling' endeavour You will get an opportunity to speak, to meet, to make connection with hundreds of individuals. For brand positioning, tangibility of getting in front of the people you want to, for some strategic talent attraction and acquisition it is a super unique opportunity. We have some world-class videography that you can call upon as part of that content piece. This is not just aimed at local businesses. ex-Dyson alumni are up and down the country. We also want some alternative speakers - whether that be Kickstarter, people that have started their own design agency/product business - ultimately that will be part of the thinking for many that are in this redundancy process. What are those alternative career paths for individuals who maybe now see this as an opportunity to explore. To make this happen, and to ideally make this free for those attending, we are going to need high levels of sponsorship to facilitate something of this scale. I can't sit back, watch 1000 people be made redundant and just do nothing. Hopefully you feel the same. hello@designtruth.co.uk Let's see where we are at by the end of the week / Design Truth. _ #industrialdesign #designtruth

20/20 Levels Job Fair - The Sequel ✅ You know you did something right when you get invited back again! 😂 Last night myself, Lyandra Gondo & Kate Cawood were back at the 20/20 Levels Jobs Fair delivering some interview techniques workshops and promoting all things great about working for Travelex What do 20/20 Levels do? They empower black and racially underrepresented young people through opportunities to maximise their potential. If there’s anyone just starting out in your career, graduates, school leavers, apprentices I’d like to give some advice that I wish someone gave me starting out in my career. 💡It’s ok to not know what you want to do or be. Too much pressure is focused on social media about being a CEO by the time you’re 24 years old. 💡In any job, you should be either earning or learning, ideally both. If it’s nether, the job isn’t serving you a purpose and you need to question your worth and value in that environment. 💡You work for the job, but the job also needs to work for you! 💡Make some mistakes, samples the jobs buffet, earn some money, find out what truly gets you out of bed in the morning and harness that hunger, drive and desire. 💡Enjoy it, you’ll be sat there 30 years from now beating yourself up at the chances you didn’t take, the challenges you shyed away from and the opportunities you let pass you by. Shoutout to Chakira Gervais Duro Oye & @Rohan Smith for an awesome event! We need more cans of Rio next time 🥲 Me and Lyandra getting in the Xmas colour palette. It wasn’t planned I swear! 😅 #2020levels #careeradvice #careersfair #jobsfair

I just attended my first Job Skills’ Job Fair in Mississauga today as part of the Job Skills Marketing team, and boy, was it an incredible experience! 🔥🔥 It's not every day you get to be in a room filled with so much potential and ambition. From eager job seekers to passionate employers, the energy in the room was contagious. Whether you're a startup looking for innovative minds or a well-established company in need of experienced hands, job fairs are where you’ll find them. It's like a treasure hunt for the next great addition to your team. But you know where my mind went to? 💡🤔 Job fairs are not only about the hiring. They're a great opportunity to boost your brand's visibility...and you know I’m all about the visibility!😁 By having a booth or table at a job fair, in just a few hours your company can shine in front of hundreds of attendees, not to mention the ripple effect if you post about the event on social media.👍 Plus, the chance to network with other professionals in a relaxed, yet energetic environment is invaluable. So to all the job seekers and employers I met today, your drive and dedication were truly inspiring. And to those thinking about attending or exhibiting at a job fair, I say go for it! The connections you make and the exposure you'll gain will be well worth it. 🙌 If you've had a positive experience at a job fair as an employer or as a job seeker, share your story below. Let's celebrate the achievements and the relentless pursuit of growth, together. 📈 😊 😎 And BTW… Job Skills has some really cool programs and resources available for employers and job seekers alike, so give them a follow to learn more about the services they offer. #JobFair #Networking #visibility #YorkRegion #PeelRegion #CareerGrowth
