You won't believe it, but contrary to popular belief, my passion doesn't lie in teaching or academia. Instead, I'm deeply committed to research and supporting others to gather the evidence needed to champion diversity, equality, and inclusion. I firmly believe that knowledge-sharing should be a two-way street, where everyone has the opportunity to learn and contribute. As my business continues to expand, I'm excited to announce that I'm dedicating 5% of my profits to establish a paid research internship program. This initiative will offer valuable paid work experience to emerging evaluators, allowing them to collaborate with me on active evaluations. Fair compensation for labor is paramount to me, and I'm committed to ensuring that training opportunities are compensated accordingly. While the internship program is still in the pipeline, I'm still working to support others in learning and honing their research skills. I am currently engaged in cultivating critical thinking skills in research with students at HKMU. Through engaging sessions, we explore intriguing articles and plant the seeds of inquiry that will shape their research journey. This belief drives me to offer a substantial discount for education evaluations aimed at enhancing equality, diversity, and inclusion within educational settings. Attention all summer communications interns! Here are four tips to help you thrive this summer and throughout your blossoming careers. 🙋Constantly ask questions: Don't be afraid to seek guidance on specific tasks. Your colleagues don’t expect you to know everything from the start, and many view asking questions as a sign of eagerness to learn.   ✍️Know where your skills can be applied: Consider how your prior education and work experience can be applied to your current tasks. Take note of specific instances in which you can apply these skills as you advance.   🤔Understand the "why": There’s a difference between simply completing a task and truly understanding why it’s being done. Starting your career can be both exciting and challenging. Reflecting on my first year as a full-time Marketing Coordinator at The Harbinger Group, I've learned a lot about navigating the professional world. One key lesson is that being in an entry-level position doesn't mean you can't lead and improve operational processes. Your thoughts are valuable, so don't hesitate to speak up and suggest improvements. Remember, while you have much to learn from your team members, you also have ideas and knowledge to offer them.
