Contacting 911 Direct and Indirect Connection Options Lynx Systems offers two options for organizations to connect with 911 dispatch: Direct Connection to Dispatch: Approved for education only, this option allows K-12 schools to make a direct electronic connection to 911 dispatch, circumventing false alarms and ensuring immediate response. Indirect Connection through Human Verification: For non-education organizations, Lynx Systems partners with Rapid SOS to provide an indirect connection to dispatch. In this case, Rapid SOS monitors will call back within 30 seconds to confirm the issue before contacting 911 dispatch. It’s important to note that any educational institution, including K-12 schools, colleges, and universities, is eligible for direct connection. However, mixed-use education, such as churches, is not included in this category. Schedule your demo today: lynxsales@mitsi.com #CampusSafety #EmergencyPreparedness #StudentSafety #SecurityAwareness

This month marks a year since we launched the Let My Friends Learn campaign, setting out the steps that the UK Government can take to protect children's education during emergencies. Conflict, climate change, food crises, forced displacement and the aftermath of COVID-19, among other disruptions, are obstructing children’s right to education on an unprecedented scale. Globally, education systems and children’s future learning has never been at greater risk, and hard-won gains in expanding education access and improving quality are being reversed. We need the UK Government to: ✅ PREPARE: strengthen preparedness and anticipatory action in education systems ✅PROTECT: ensure children are safe, protected and learn during emergencies ✅INVEST: Scale up financing for EiE and systems strengthening ✅ACT: provide global leadership to protect children’s right to education in emergencies. Today, Parliamentarians, Policy Makers, CSOs & Young People will come together to discuss what steps the #UKGovernment can take to ensure every child can learn during emergencies Read the report here: https://bit.ly/LMFL1 Rebekah Lucking Hannah Frisch Takyiwa Danso Alya Harding

CEO of Smart Air Defense | Enhancing Indoor Air Quality for Safer, Healthier Learning Environments in K12 Schools.
As the deadline for K12 ESSER III (ARP) federal funding approaches, schools must consider: Have we prioritized investments in indoor air quality to ensure the safety and health of every corner of our school district? The answer: Schools can still utilize a portion of ESSER III funds, if accessible, to implement practical solutions for indoor air quality that meet CDC's 5 ACH and ASHRAE 241 standards across the entire district. This includes classrooms lacking adequate mechanical ventilation.
