My business is turning 2 years old! (in a few weeks) That is definitely worth celebrating. And instead of another cake or prosecco, I want to give back to YOU - to the community that inspired me to do what I do. I always felt like I have a purpose and that purpose is to empower women to take up more space while never EVER compromising their unique, amazing selves. The culture we live and work in is heavily masculine - work, hustle, rat race, survival. We need more feminine energy, vulnerability, nurturing, balance. And I believe women taking up more space will not only allow more feminine energy in, help with inequality, but also lead to more women being able to become free on their own terms - financially free, location free, independent in every sense of the word. So, to celebrate 2 years of my mission, I will be releasing a digital product to help you set up your business/brand in a few days so you can start taking back your power and building your dream life. “Let’s create a world where men get asked about how they juggle career and parenthood as much as women” “Give as much as you get: help women more junior than you excel in their career” “Know your why” “Give equal parental leave to both men and women, and encourage men to actually use it” “Take your DEI policy deeper than just celebrating International Women’s Day and cultural celebrations” > These were some of the many great takeaways from Tracksuit’s Women on Track Event. 🎤 We’ve come a long way in terms of having more women in leadership positions, in making workplaces more parenthood friendly, and in improving diversity, equity & inclusion. But there’s still a long way to go. Gathering female tech CEOs, CMOs, and Marketing Managers on a panel to talk about how they have built successful careers in typically male-dominated industries alongside managing side hustles/second businesses and/or raising children is exactly the step we need to inspire change in workplaces. Not to mention inspiring other women to strive for a career and a life that aligns to their metrics of success. Life is Flying by… This is the line a woman doc used with me recently, “life is flying by”.  I have had similar feelings over the years.  To me this means, I am busy and I periodically take time to pause and wonder if I have everything in my life that is important to me and  am I taking action to start to put things in my future that are meaningful to me?  I also question myself;  “Am I missing something everyone else knows” “What am I missing?“ This had been a large concern for me, I would ask others, “How do you do it all?”, and keep asking women docs this question periodically for years. I would then consider where I was and where I wanted to go. Yet I would get busy again and have to “come up for air” and make plans again.  This cycle continued for a long time.    Focus was needed for me to design my next steps.  For those that know me, I go to family, friends, science and books for the answers to life quandaries.  I realized that I needed to design my own plan of growth and discovery and that it was OK if it was fun too! I founded a business called Brain Fresh to help use brain wonder so we can all find more professional joy.  I provide resources for corporate and healthcare workers to connect to a simple science based framework  to find energy, focus and vitality that even the busy can gain insights from!  We can stop life from “flying by”. We can take the time to be intentional and focus on our next steps. To help women docs stop life from flying by, I designed a Women Doc Accountability Group (WAG)  to create a safe  and fun space for docs to pause, set their goals and figure out how to actually make it happen.  In WAG, we learn the first steps of dreaming up a possible side hustle. I am recruiting for my Summer Women Doc Accountability Group (WAG), doors are closing Friday.   Please join us and share with 5 friends too. Women's History Month as a time to Reimagine, Refresh, and Recommit As we find ourselves well into March (and in the spirit of transparency!), I have a confession to make - I've let many of my New Year's goals fall to the wayside. Between navigating adulting, parenting, and working, it's easy to let things slip through the cracks. Unfortunately, the things that matter most to me, like exciting projects, courses, and media platforms, are often the first to go. But I know I'm not alone in this struggle, and this month, I want to invite you to join me in recommitting to what's important. Let us refocus on building fulfilling careers and lives we love. Let us recommit to stepping into the best and boldest versions of ourselves. Whether you're surviving instead of thriving, or consuming instead of creating, it's never too late to hit the reset button. So let's take advantage of this Women's History Month to reimagine what's possible, refresh our focus and priorities, and recommit to ourselves. Remember, January 1st isn't the only day to begin again. Cheers to starting fresh and backing our boldest aspirations with intentional actions.

Stronger Together: The Power of Support Throughout Our Lives Last night's Gray Tham’s "50 and Wiser" event celebrating the achievements of incredible women over 50 was a powerful reminder of something fundamental: we are social creatures. Humans aren't meant to go it alone. Think about it. From the moment we're born, we rely on the love and support of others. As we navigate life's triumphs and challenges, strong connections act as a safety net, a source of encouragement, and a wellspring of strength. This need for connection doesn't fade with age. The women at the "50 and Wiser" event perfectly exemplified this. Their shared experiences, their featured stories in the "50 and Wiser" book are all testaments to the power of community. So, why is support so crucial? Here's the thing: life throws us curveballs. I like to describe it as we are riding the wave of life with all its highs and lows. We face setbacks, grapple with self-doubt, and celebrate victories big and small. Having a network of like minded people who believe in us, who listen without judgment, and who cheer us on makes all the difference. Support can boost our confidence, help us bounce back from challenges, and fuel our motivation to keep growing. It can also be a source of comfort and joy, reminding us that we're not alone in this journey called life. Having family, friends and colleagues around can inspire and uplift us. They help celebrate each other's wins, and offer a shoulder to lean on during tough times. Let's embrace the power of support throughout our lives.
