Consumer Electronics Energy Labelling Test Collaboration SmartViser and Anritsu have entered into a technology partnership with regard to the energy labelling of smartphone handsets and tablet PCs. By complementing SmartViser's high-throughput automated test platforms with the sophisticated, precision accuracy instruments that Anritsu offers, OEMs and service providers will have access to a comprehensive array of tools via which products' energy consumption characteristics can be gauged. This means that they will be prepared for the impending enforcement of the EU Regulation of Energy Labelling relating to smartphone and tablet models - which is due commence in the summer of 2025.
