We've got a few initiatives to 📚 educate our community, 📉 reduce non-emergency use of 911 EMS, and 🚑 support financial stability for the future with the support of our neighbors, towns, and service users (residents or visitors). An important part is this "Use EMS for Emergencies", a public education campaign. We'll be sharing these regularly on social media as individual posts or reels and communication to community groups and municipalities. ------ 🚑🤔 When to use 911 for EMS? Use EMS for emergencies! We're launching a campaign to inform our community and dispel some common myths. #1 Myth - Going to the ER by ambulance gets you seen quicker. Patients are assessed & triaged by our crews and again by the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center ED staff. If it is a lower severity illness or injury, you still may go out to the waiting room. Here are some chest, neck, and face related complaints. The ones on the left may be signs of critical illness. On the right are more low level infection related illnesses best suited for an office visit or teleheath. #emsforemergencies #benningtonvt #shaftsburyvt #woodfordvt #vermontems #vtems

How is your facility managing moisture in the resident bed? With urinary incontinence on the rise, it is important to monitor your residents for excessive moisture to prevent skin maceration and pressure injuries. The sentida 7-i helps with an optional moisture monitor that can send a silent notification to caregivers via the nurse call system whenever there is excessive moisture in the bed. #skillednursing #microclimagemanagement #residentsafety
