change is always a big deal because you have to let things go. sometimes, these things have become part of your life for a long time, and you really appreciate them.
I have worked together with tesa, even being part of some of their internal development processes, for over 10 years. our story started off in Eastern Europe with the Flow Manager program together with my colleague, Diana Misko, and the client, Anita Kovacs, who was (and still is) strongly committed to leadership development, believing that skilled and committed leaders make the organization thrive. then we started to work in Southeast Asia and China as part of the ever-growing tesa world, both parties learning about cultural differences, and realizing that people are people everywhere. tesa is very good at creating communities. meeting with people on 4 continents, creating local networks, and building a common ground was an incredible experience with hundreds of tesa managers worldwide. covid has locked us up, we had to transfer into the virtual world, but that allowed us to grow the networks globally - it was easier to overcome time zone differences and travel costs. so, closing up and opening up happened at the same time, and we could start building the leadership development for tesa’s new strategy and its people values. we have created amazing learning journeys where people could practice the content of the virtual sessions in their daily lives and find learning buddies who became close, long-time friends. the last year was all about returning to “normal” face-to-face sessions, preserving the advantages of the high-performance learning journey, keeping continuous online learning and practice elements, and the learning buddy system to add to the unquestionable value of the classroom sessions.
for now, as new strategies and new directions are taking place for the company, and after finishing my last virtual follow-up session last week, I have to say goodbye to tesa and all the friends I have made through the long years of this unforgettable cooperation. tesa will always be in the middle of my heart, as it has been through half of my professional career. I am very grateful for this opportunity, and I sincerely hope that the other global and international projects I am part of now (let them be larger or smaller in size) will have a similarly amazing and memorable story to tell ten years from now – I already see signs of that 😉🙏❤️
