Science for Nature and People Partnership (SNAPP)’s Post

Ground-breaking new research from SNAPP's working group on Wildfires and Human Health, led by University of Washington and The Nature Conservancy, shows US counties with the highest rate of sustained smoke particulate pollution are home to higher numbers of vulnerable people. This research also updates the 2017 wildfire smoke vulnerability assessment, and shows that since 2017, vulnerability to wildfires has increased dramatically in the PNW.
