To honor #WorldChildrensDay, we asked young people what they would want leaders to consider to create a better, safer world for children. Sneha, a National Youth Council Member at UNICEF USA, asks CEOs and leaders to acknowledge the impacts of child poverty on education, health and development. She asks them to invest more in children and to give them opportunities to raise their voices — opportunities they deserve. #WCD2023

Every child deserves a chance to thrive, no matter where they are born. Today, I want to share the story of a resilient child in Africa who, despite facing poverty and oppression, is striving for a better future. 🌍This child, like many others, dreams of going to school, having enough to eat, and living a life free from fear. But, these basic rights are often denied due to circumstances beyond their control. We have the power to change this. By providing access to education, healthcare, and necessities, we can help break the cycle of poverty and give these children the future they deserve. 🎓🍎🏥Let’s stand together to make a difference. Your support can transform a life and create a ripple effect that will impact generations to come. Remember, every child matters, and every action counts. ❤️Read more about ColourRise Inc.'s goals at our Link in Bio. #EveryChildMatters #AccessToEducation #FutureGenerations #TransformALife #MakeADifference #BreakTheCycle #EndChildPoverty #EducationForAll #ChangeALife #FAZZA #Faz3

June 1st is International Children's Day! This day is celebrated as part of a greater cause dedicated to ending child abuse, ensuring #children's #rights, and improving the lives of children worldwide. According to an article published by UNICEF in December of 2023, "More than 1 in 5 children live in poverty in 40 of the world’s richest countries". The effects of poverty can endure throughout a person's life. Children who grow up in poverty are less likely to finish school and tend to earn lower wages as adults. In some countries, individuals born in impoverished areas are likely to live eight to nine years less than those born in affluent areas, according to the report. Organizations like Save the Children International work tirelessly to ensure children have healthcare, food and shelter, as well as learning and child protection services. Girls Not Brides: The Global Partnership to End Child Marriage is another organization, it focuses on girls and ending child marriage so that girls can reach their full potential! Like and share this post to spread awareness and join us in celebrating children's #health and #safety across the globe!

Every November 20th, World Children's Day advocates for the well-being of children globally, raising awareness about the challenges they encounter and celebrating international unity. Human rights extend to children, encompassing the rights to life, health, education, and play. Children also possess rights to family life, protection from violence, freedom from discrimination, and the opportunity for their voices to be heard. Regrettably, many children worldwide grapple with daunting issues. According to Children Incorporated, 385 million children endure poverty globally, with one in four facing this struggle even in the wealthiest nations. Tragically, approximately 8,500 children succumb to malnutrition every day. Beyond poverty, children grapple with significant challenges such as: - Exposure to violence through indoctrination - Life as refugees - Limited access to education - Neglect - Child labor - Child prostitution and human trafficking - And many more... Navigating these difficulties is particularly challenging for children. Having supportive parents or family members is crucial, but millions of children lack such guidance. UNICEF reports that 153 million children worldwide are orphans. How can we instill hope in the lives of these children and contribute to creating a better world for them? World Children's Day serves as a crucial platform, raising awareness of the myriad challenges children face and compelling leaders to devise solutions for some of the world's most vulnerable individuals. Do something to give others a voice who can't speak up. #worldchildrensday #unicef #unitednations

66% of child trafficking victims are girls. 💔 (Save the Children, 2020) Many girls around the world are forced to drop out of school or are denied access to income-generating opportunities. This social exclusion traps them in a cycle of extreme poverty and increases their vulnerability to trafficking and exploitation. 🌍 The lack of education not only limits their lifetime earning potential but also perpetuates poverty for future generations. At Fight For The One, we are committed to breaking this cycle and protecting the most vulnerable. Join us in making a difference. ✨ Visit our website to learn how we're making a difference and join the fight: https://lnkd.in/e4iXx2X7
