Katarzyna Zalewska, Sustainable Transformation Practice, Kantar: “In an era of sustainable business transformation – driven not only by current challenges, but perhaps more importantly by changing and proliferating ESG regulations – it is critical to unlock private capital for truly responsible environmental and social investments. It should be emphasized that this does not just mean shifting priorities from profit to social goals. The essence of this approach is to strike a balance between achieving economic goals and generating a positive social and environmental impact to achieve sustainable development and progress. At Kantar, in Poland as well as on a global level, we firmly believe that this is the quintessential way for commercial entities to realize sustainability. As we observe the increasingly dynamic transformation, even revolution, of companies in various countries towards greater responsibility, we remain a partner that advises by providing the highest quality consumer data, but also seeks to inspire and enrich with our own practical experience. We were all the more eager to participate in the international initiative of the Social Impact Alliance for Central & Eastern Europe, which encourages companies to strategically engage in responsible activities and demonstrates that, in addition to their philanthropic value, these activities can not only fit into the business formula, but also help build an advantage in a highly competitive environment.” The new comprehensive analysis, "Unlocking Private Capital for Social Good in Central Eastern Europe" is now available for download free of charge: https://lnkd.in/dSHynzmg The report is a must-read for institutions and foundations who want to positively impact the countries of Central & Eastern Europe – philanthropists, businesses, investors, public administration, nonprofits and academia. Driving clear and impactful communications | Strategy | Social Impact | Helping others lead better lives through information
We’ve officially closed out eight months of 2024, and as the winds of change blow September into full swing we’re offered an opportunity to reflect on what has been an historical year thus far. South Africa is governed by a coalition of parties under the umbrella of a government of national unity, Eskom kept the lights on during winter with loadshedding suspended for almost six months now, interest rates are set to fall and the Springboks beat the All Blacks … again. What a difference eight months can make! With spirits lifted somewhat, we commemorate Heritage Month, and we are reminded of the power of culture, diversity, and unity in shaping South Africa’s rich social fabric. In this spirit of unity, it is through collaboration and connection that we can address the country’s pressing social and environmental challenges. One of my highlights of this year has been to witness the changing attitudes of business leaders, as they realise their influence in driving change and collaboration. It is apt that the theme of this year’s Trialogue Business in Society Handbook is ‘Collaborating for change’. This theme resonates strongly with the values of Heritage Month. By fostering partnerships across sectors and communities, businesses and social organisations can drive impactful change, preserving our cultural heritage while addressing the urgent needs of today. Grab a coffee, hit pause and explore the newsletter for more on the latest developments at Trialogue.
