🚀 April Update Time 🚀 I thought it's about time I break my silence to share some exciting updates from Seen Services . We're in the midst of some really exciting developments, diving into fantastic projects across sectors like the Railway, government sites and both commercial and industrial spheres to list a few. This past month alone, we’ve brought on board 14 incredible new team members, and their arrival has infused our team with a new energy and enthusiasm. With so many exciting announcements on the horizon, it’s clear that all the hard work and planning over the last eight years are paying off in big ways. We've built an unbelievably strong team and have managed to achieve an amazing list of clients who turn every project into an exciting challenge. We’re not slowing down anytime soon. Our strategy is set for sustainable, year-on-year growth, and we’re smashing targets that some once doubted could be achieved. I'm loving every moment of this journey, committed to building the best business possible alongside a team who feels more like family and clients who are a dream to work with. 🌟 Day 4 is complete and that means, sadly, IEUK has to come to an end! 📊 The first task of the day was to complete our work sample for submission. The task for the work sample was to create a pitch for a new charity partnership for British Airways’ ‘BA Better World’ campaign, which aims to create a more sustainable future. Work hard. 2. Take every opportunity. 3. Network. 4. Use every opportunity as a learning opportunity. 5. Be ambitious! 💬 James Uffindell, Bright Network’s CEO, finished off the day, sharing insights that really stuck with me and have encouraged me to stay resilient and confident throughout my job search: ‘There are going to be things that you can’t control, but you can control how you react’. He also offered additional job support through Bright Network, such as the Career Launchpad and Career Pathway Test. 📚 Overall, IEUK 2024 has been an incredible and worthwhile experience, and I have learned so much, including: - Vital skills employers in the business, operations, and marketing sector look for. - Organisation frameworks for time management and task prioritisation, such as the Gantt chart and Eisenhower Matrix. - The STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) approach, ideal for answering competency questions in interviews. - What to expect when starting a graduate role in companies such as Nestlé, Mondelez, Adobe, and AlphaSights. - The importance of first impressions and building a personal brand. - The difference between B2B and B2C sales and marketing roles. - How to conduct a pitch. 🙏 I would like to thank everyone at Bright Network for such an incredible experience, including Philip Yarrow and Rachel Delaney for being amazing hosts, and of course, James Uffindell and everyone working behind the scenes! #ieuk #ieuk2024 #networking #graduate

An important #remark, is that these are nominees, which means the fact they are nominated doesn't guarantee they will receive an award, but I believe just the fact of being nominated by itself is already an achievement. The content of the motivations are obviously confidential as they have confidential information from our organization, but it's worth to share a few insights. #IndividualAward Lauro Da Silva An inspirational soul with a phenomenal attitude, team spirit, always available to help. Lauro was the main contributor to the majority of our energy efficiency initiatives. #Teamaward #CloudInfrastructurePlanning and Engineering team led by Eduardo Morais represent one of the main pillars of our technology landscape, alongside the Access and Transport Planning & Engineering team. The achievements from this team from a #delivery, #efficiency & #optimization are considered #miracles given the context we have to work with from an Infrastructure perspective. #RadioPlanning team led by Jose Morais, are always under the radar, but are one of the teams with the highest demand, making part of the foundation of our network capacity and coverage rollout, and many other customer and business network related initiatives. As a #reminder & #word of #appraisal to the other teams & individuals from the same portfolio who should always have the ambition to be nominated, and who also do brilliant job. Remember the recognition is a momentary milestone, and comparing ourselves to others is the 1st step for frustration and demotivation, as each one of us brings unique strengths and contributions which are vital to our collective success. Get to know Laura below! ➡️ What attracted you to Worlds Better? I have been watching the development of Worlds Better from afar for the last two years and have been impressed by the team and what they have achieved. When an opportunity to join them arose, I couldn't say no! My previous experience is mainly in Compliance and Due Diligence roles in the financial services industry which might seem like a completely different world, but it actually has lots of similar challenges to those found when implementing sustainable practices. The work done by Worlds Better has tangible impact which I find really exciting, and I am so happy to be working with this amazing group of people. ➡️ What do you enjoy doing? My favourite thing to do is to explore new places with my family. I am a big planner and organiser, so I am usually busy researching our next adventure. ➡️ How did you become passionate about sustainability? Since having my children, I have become highly aware of how the choices we make can influence and affect the next generation. They are my inspiration to make the world a better place. Sustainability is a clear factor in achieving this and is, literally, the future. ➡️ Tell us a fun fact about you! My first every job was working part time in a shoe shop with none other than Christianne (Chrissie) Beck. It's going to be so much fun working together again nearly 20 years later! ➡️ What do you think are the most important things to consider when delivering sustainable events? Having data to back up what you are doing is key. You can't monitor what you don't measure. And you can't report what you don't measure either. ➡️ Do you have a favourite quote?
