As we reflect on Juneteenth, it’s essential to recognize the profound impact of emancipation on family unity and protection. For the formerly enslaved, freedom meant the ability to protect themselves and their families through the rule of law and to seek remedies for disputes previously denied to them. The ability to keep families together was a monumental shift. No longer would children and spouses be torn apart and sold, a practice that had catastrophic multi-generational consequences. Emancipation provided the opportunity for families to remain intact, thrive, and seek justice and protection under the law. While Juneteenth did not immediately grant citizenship to the formerly enslaved, it symbolized the beginning of their journey toward full civil rights and recognition under the Constitution. Family is the cornerstone of our communities. On this Juneteenth, let’s honor the strength and resilience of those who fought for their freedom and the ability to safeguard their families. Their legacy reminds us of the enduring power of family and the unyielding quest for justice and protection. #Juneteenth #Family #Freedom #Justice #BlackHistory #CommunityStrength #Resilience

**Celebrating Juneteenth: Learning from the Past** Today, we honor Juneteenth, a pivotal moment in American history when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom on June 19, 1865—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. As we commemorate this day, we must reflect on the importance of learning from our past. Juneteenth reminds us of the long journey toward justice and equality, highlighting both the progress we've made and the work still ahead. By understanding our history, we can better recognize the resilience and strength of those who fought for freedom and continue to fight for civil rights today. Let's take this opportunity to educate ourselves and others about the significance of Juneteenth, honor the legacy of those who endured and overcame oppression, and commit to building a more inclusive and equitable future. #Juneteenth #FreedomDay #LearnFromHistory #CelebrateFreedom

The battle we are engaged in within our country on a macro scale is American principles/classical liberalism versus critical theory/neo-Marxism/cultural Marxism. The “long march through the institutions” has gone on for decades, and we are far down the road. Well-meaning kind-hearted people may mistake these carefully calibrated pseudo-religious messages from the Left and even from giant corporations for truth and compassion, but that’s not what they are. They start with a piece of truth which is married to a lie. They represent a cynical worldview, which is all about raw power; an us versus them way of looking at things, and a redefinition of many important terms. The game they are playing is not the same game that the rest of us are playing. What I believe in was not left, right, nor center in the past; it is a precious philosophical inheritance that belongs to all of us, even though many were excluded from full legal rights in the past. Pastor Corey Brooks explains it well in this incredible article.

What happened today March 4th, 2024 A CHARTER FOR LIBERTY: THE FOUNDING OF PENNSYLVANIA On this day, March 4th, in the year 1681, a monumental event occurred that would lay the foundation for one of the future United States of America. England's King Charles II granted a charter to William Penn, a notable Quaker and advocate for religious freedom, for a vast expanse of land in the New World. This grant was not merely a transfer of territory; it was the birth of Pennsylvania, a state that would become synonymous with the ideals of liberty and tolerance. The charter granted to Penn was more than a piece of parchment; it was a vision for a new society. Unlike other colonies established for profit or strategic advantage, Pennsylvania was conceived as a haven for those persecuted for their religious beliefs, particularly Quakers. Penn envisioned a community built on principles of equality, freedom of conscience, and democratic governance. This groundbreaking charter laid the groundwork for what would become a diverse and prosperous state, setting a precedent for religious and political freedom in the New World. The significance of this day extends beyond the borders of Pennsylvania. It represents a pivotal moment in the broader history of human rights and democracy. The charter of 1681 was a forward-thinking document that influenced the development of constitutional government in America and the concept of a society governed by laws, not monarchs. As we reflect on this day, we are reminded of the enduring power of ideals and the impact of visionary leadership on the course of history.

BLACK PASTORS SELLING THE BLACK COMMUNITIES - As a young Catholic priest, I had the privilege of working with a group of black pastors, mostly non-Catholics. I was the diocesan spiritual advisor of African American (Black) Catholics Ministry. Needless to say, that was when I learned more than enough of my black brothers and sisters pastors. I later left the group for the military chaplaincy. There is a triad that have held our black communities and inner cities in bondage and perennially impoverished even with almost a century of voting Democrat: black pastors, black activists and black politicians. The triad actively work together to fleece, siphon and redirect funds meant for local communities programs to their bank accounts. Obama once worked for such local community organizing group in Chicago and ended up selling his soul to the devil - the reason why he couldn’t return back to Chicago and have not utter a word with all going on in Chicago including high crimes and high murder rate!! That’s why these black pastors continually desecrate the black churches by allowing these corrupt politicians to use their pulpits to bambuzzled and lie and make empty promises year after year, elections after elections, and our black communities still remain hell holes! Yet, we are quick to play victims and blame white folks and white supremacy for our problems. Look at what’s going on around the country and who are being pushed out from their communities programs facilities to accommodate immigrants crossing the borders. Whose policies opened wide the borders - Democrats! Who are losing jobs to these immigrants? Mostly black folks!!

This is a great start. It’s the foundation of a moral and orderly society. And claiming separation of church and state would be a profound display of ignorance. The Ten Commandments are not a religion or body of doctrine, but common sense natural law that maintains order, justice, and a measure of peace on earth among imperfect humans. It provides an authoritative baseline of good governance unlike anything else on earth. Rebuilding these foundations will bring some sanity back to our upside down world. https://lnkd.in/en-kszs6

Christians, it is time to stand up! It's time to exit these wicked indoctrinating cesspools, these Temples of Moloch, called public schools! 🤬 The new Title IX regulations from the Biden Administration infringe on biological women's rights, parental rights, religious freedoms, and free speech and put all our children in harm's way, especially our K-12 and college daughters, in bathrooms and locker rooms with biological men, pretending to be women; just demonic! Sick! This administration is abominable and disobedient and unto every good work reprobate! (Titus 1:16) The Democrat's policies, whether federal or local, especially in a state like Illinois, fight against the Word of God on every hand to destroy the divine family. “God created them male and female.”-Gen 1:27

Celebrating Juneteenth Juneteenth marks a pivotal moment in American history, commemorating June 19, 1865, the day when Union soldiers, led by Major General Gordon Granger, landed at Galveston, Texas, with news that the Civil War had ended and the enslaved were now free. This announcement came a full two and a half years after President Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation had officially outlawed slavery in Confederate territories. The delay in the enforcement of the Proclamation highlights the deep-seated resistance to ending slavery and the complexities involved in applying federal laws across a fractured nation. The first celebration of Juneteenth was one of both profound joy and cautious optimism. The newly freed African Americans of Galveston rejoiced in the streets, their celebrations a powerful act of communal catharsis. However, this newfound freedom was tempered by the uncertainty of how true emancipation would unfold in the years to come. Despite the challenges they faced, including segregation, economic disparity, and the long struggle for civil rights, Juneteenth has remained a symbol of resilience and hope. It is a day to reflect on the bitter history of slavery, to celebrate the strides toward equality, and to renew the commitment to fighting against systemic injustices. This holiday serves not only as a reminder of past pain but also as an inspiration to strive for a brighter, more inclusive future.
