YEAR 10 CAREERS THEMED WEEK mapped and ready to roll! An opportune time in ks4 to help students think about post 16, before they start y11 in September. The week replaces work experience for y10. My Vision is, whilst we are not sending you out to an employer, we will be bringing lots of industry experts into the school across the whole week. Workshops, professional conversations with employers, sharing expertise, University insights out of school, exploring skills and labour market information, self reflection, career management skills. Recently, I've been spending most of my time studying and practicing for aptitude tests for both on-campus and off-campus placements. Today, I realized that many people spend years studying for the CAT, focusing heavily on aptitude tests, when they could invest that time in developing new skills (upskilling). I would like to know opinion those who haven't cleared the exam might feel like they've lost valuable time. On the other hand, successfully clearing the exam opens doors to prestigious institutions. #opinion #CAT23
