𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 🚀 At @RelianceIndustriesLimited 47th AGM, Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of RIL shared bold plans to transform Jamnagar, into the "energy capital of the world," with a major focus on renewable energy, specifically solar PV module production. World’s Largest Green Energy Giga Manufacturing Complex ☀️ By 2025, the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Manufacturing Complex will become a global leader in new energy. This integrated ecosystem will house the world's largest solar PV module production facility. The 1st phase of 20GW solar PV manufacturing "will commence production" by the end of this year. Key Features of the Complex ⬇️ 📌 Production of PV modules, cells, wafers, and ingots at a single location. 📌 Integration of next-gen technologies like AI, IoT, and machine learning. 📌 The use of bifacial solar panels with cell efficiency exceeding 26%. A ₹75,000 Crore Investment 💸 Reliance has earmarked up to ₹75,000 crore for this venture, to build a comprehensive manufacturing ecosystem, leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, Machine Learning, and Robotics. 5 Key Pillars for Reliance's Green Energy Business 🌱 Ambani expressed confidence in Reliance’s ability to become a dominant player in renewable energy over the next 5–7 years, driven by these factors ✅ Focus on meeting its large captive RE-RTC requirements across RIL's group businesses over the years, drastically saving their energy costs ✅ Investments in green fuel projects will be backed by value-enhancing off-take agreements with major global partners. ✅ Ensuring these projects generate positive cash flow from Day 1. ✅ Next-generation products developed through advanced deep-tech R&D will offer higher efficiency and cost reductions, driving further margin growth. ✅ Build businesses with a start-up growth mindset, led by empowered teams and top global talent. 1st Solar Giga Factory ⚡️ The solar giga factory will encompass the production of ⬇️ PV modules, cells, wafers and ingots, polysilicon, and glass - all at one location. The plan involves setting up 4 giga factories ⬇️ - manufacturing renewable equipment, - battery storage - fuel cells - hydrogen By 2025, the company aims to industrialise sodium-ion batteries and by 2026, it plans to initiate a 50 MW per year lithium battery cells pilot project. Technologies The facility will be fully adaptable & capable of supporting various technologies such as Alkaline, PEM, and AEM. Green Hydrogen 🔋 A major highlight of Ambani's speech was the announcement of a multi-GW electrolyser manufacturing facility, expected to be ready by 2026. This facility will focus on producing green hydrogen at the lowest cost, using cutting-edge electro-chemical processes and low-cost solar energy.
