This integrated ecosystem will house the world's largest solar PV module production facility. The 1st phase of 20GW solar PV manufacturing "will commence production" by the end of this year. Key Features of the Complex ⬇️ 📌 Production of PV modules, cells, wafers, and ingots at a single location. 📌 Integration of next-gen technologies like AI, IoT, and machine learning. 📌 The use of bifacial solar panels with cell efficiency exceeding 26%. The plan involves setting up 4 giga factories ⬇️ - manufacturing renewable equipment, - battery storage - fuel cells - hydrogen By 2025, the company aims to industrialise sodium-ion batteries and by 2026, it plans to initiate a 50 MW per year lithium battery cells pilot project. Technologies The facility will be fully adaptable & capable of supporting various technologies such as Alkaline, PEM, and AEM. Reliance Industries Limited to Launch India’s First Giga-Scale PV Factory by Early 2025 🇮🇳 🏭 Reliance Industries Ltd plans to open its first giga-scale factory for photovoltaic (PV) components by the end of Q1 2025, with plans to scale up manufacturing capabilities in the following year. The factory will be part of the 20-GW Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Manufacturing Complex, located in Jamnagar, Gujarat, India. 📈 The initial phase of the complex, covering 5,000 acres (2,036 ha), will begin operations by the end of the current fiscal year through March 2025. The site will produce a wide range of solar components including modules, cells, wafers, ingots, polysilicon, and glass, all at a single location. 🔋 Reliance Industries is also advancing its sodium ion battery technology, with plans to produce sodium ion cells at a MW-scale level by 2025, transitioning to giga-scale production. The goal is to pilot 50 MWh of sodium ion battery cells by 2026. 💡 As part of its 2021 strategy, Reliance has committed to investing USD 10 billion (EUR 9.16bn) over three years to develop a new fuels business and support its target of deploying at least 100 GW of renewable energy generation capacity by the end of the decade. Solar World Energy Solutions to Raise ₹6000 Cr via IPO Solar World Energy Solutions, based in Uttar Pradesh, has filed documents with SEBI to raise ₹6000 crore through an IPO. The plan includes ₹5500 crore from new equity shares and ₹500 crore through an offer for sale (OFS). Before filing the final prospectus, the company might also raise ₹1100 crore through a preferential issue. Of the funds raised, ₹4200 crore will be used to build a 1.2 GW solar manufacturing plant in Madhya Pradesh. The rest will be for general business needs. As of 2024, Solar World’s order book stands at ₹7997 crore, with key clients like SJVN Green Energy, Haldiram Snacks, Ethnic Food Manufacturing, and Samiksha Solar World. This IPO will help Solar World expand its operations and strengthen its position in the renewable energy sector by investing in new manufacturing capabilities.

BluPine Energy Secures $52.85 Million Financing for 120 MW Solar Project in Gujarat BluPine Energy, a prominent player in the renewable energy sector in India, has successfully closed financial arrangements for its 120 MW solar power project in the villages of Panshina and Radhanpur, Gujarat. The financing, amounting to INR 436 crores (approximately USD 52.85 million), was secured from the State Bank of India (SBI), one of India’s leading banking institutions. The solar plant is projected to produce around 2.98 lakh MWh of energy annually, which will help reduce CO2 emissions by an estimated 2.7 lakh tonnes per year. Adani Green Energy Limited is developing 30 GW renewable energy plant on barren land at Khavda in Kutch of Gujarat over area of 538 sq km after which it would become the planet's largest power plant regardless of the energy source. The project at Khavda is Hybrid #renewable energy cluster where during the morning hours, solar energy is generated and during the evening hours wind generation is generated. It has operationalised capacity of 2,000 MW solar #energy. With this project India is poised to avoid about 58 million tonnes of #CO2 emissions annually. This renewable energy project is spread across 12 states in which major production takes place in #Rajasthan and #Gujarat. In the 𝟰𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, Ambani announced that Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Manufacturing Complex would be the world’s largest, Spread over more than 𝟱𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘀 in Jamnagar & will comprise five giga factories devoted to Solar PV Panels, High Efficient Energy Storage Batteries🔋, Electrolysers, Fuel Cells, and Power Electronic Systems⚡. 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙧 𝙋𝙑 𝙈𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙂𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮☀️ At the end of the year, manufacturing of solar PV modules will begin, with modular expansion plan for the initial phase of an integrated production facility for solar products with a target of having a production capacity of 𝟭𝟬 𝗚𝗪 per annum. It later aims that by 𝟮𝟬𝟯𝟬 it will have developed and funded at least 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗚𝗪 of solar electricity. In October 2021, REC Solar Holdings was acquired by Reliance and based in Norway with an enterprise value of $ 𝟳𝟳𝟭 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 from China National Bluestar (Group) Co💵. 𝘽𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙂𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮🔋 The 𝟭𝟱 𝗚𝗪𝗵 first phase of the battery production factory will be commissioned in the first quarter of the next year while the second part of the battery factory that will have an annual output of 𝟯𝟬𝗚𝗪𝗵 will be completed by the second part of the next year. Further, it wants to make sodium-ion battery at the industrial scale in MW level from 2025 and start the pilot plant to produce 𝟱𝟬 𝗠𝗪𝗵 of lithium batteries annually from 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲🔋. 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙚𝙧 𝙂𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮🏭 Ambani restated commitment to developing a multi GW electrolyser manufacturing plant in Jamnagar which is projected to be complete by 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. These include AEM, PEM, and Alkaline, and it is in realization of this that the giga plant will be established🔬. In 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, Reliance signed an agreement with Nel ASA, a Norwegian technology platform for electrolyser manufacture for availing to generating Green Hydrogen. The Indian government for setting up facilities that will enable the production of Green Hydrogen with the capacity of up to 𝟰,𝟱𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 through SIGHT Scheme (Mode-1-Tranche-I). 𝙋𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙨 𝙂𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮⚡ Also Reliance has acquired dry land at Kutch which is only 250km away from Jamnagar. Renewable Energy Special 1) Adani Green The announcement of Adani Group of setting up the World’s Largest Renewable Energy Setup by investing 2lakh Crores for setting up 30 GW Electricity Energy. This is 40.92% of India’s total capacity. Total market share of Adani Green in solar energy currently is 28%. Looking at the market share presence Adani Green remains the top company with its portfolio. 2) Reliance Industries Reliance Industries has planned to setup 100 GW energy capacity in Gujarat. 3) NTPC NGEL a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC has operational capacity of 3.4 GW, 26 GW in pipelines and 7 GW under implementation.
