The #SolarproTeam proudly took part in the EDENRED Bulgaria charity relay run 2024, which has officially become a tradition for us! For a third consecutive year, we are thrilled to have contributed to raising nearly BGN 30,000 for the Pediatrics Department at the University Hospital Burgas. Our two teams, consisting of eight dedicated runners, including three colleagues from Eldrive Bulgaria, covered a total of 24 kilometers in support of this noble cause. A heartfelt thank you to EDENRED Bulgaria for inspiring and uniting so many professionals for this important event. We look forward to running together again next year!

Over the coming weeks, STRYDE4 will be sharing a snapshot of the high impact projects that our inaugural STRYDE4 Day on 4.4.24 will be supporting. Cerebral Palsy Alliance is just one of the incredible charities that STRYDE4 has partenered with, to raise much needed funds to improve the lives of those living with cerebral palsy in Australia. Below are the two high impact projects that will be funded by their participants taking part in the 21km walk or 14km ocean paddle on STRYDE4 Day. Project 1 – Babies at Risk In Australia, every 20 hours a baby is diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Research shows that early intervention including intensive, repetitive, task-specific exercise should start for children diagnosed with cerebral palsy within the first 12 months. At this time, a baby’s brain is developing rapidly and has the ability to rewire. CPA’s Babies at Risk program maximises the opportunity to harness the neuroplasticity of baby’s brains by providing early response therapy with an individual therapy plan created for each baby and their family. Project 2 – Cerebral Palsy Research Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Institute accelerates breakthroughs in prevention, interventions and cures for cerebral palsy. Their vision is to enable the world’s best cerebral palsy experts to find ways to prevent and treat cerebral palsy, a condition affecting more than 17 million people worldwide. Register today to take part in STRYDE4 Day and raise much needed funds for CPA’s Babies at Risk program and their world class research. https://lnkd.in/gXpD7n3S 4.4.24 #STRYDE #whowillyoustryde4 #purpose #community #health

Such disparities Early childhood research / organisations and charities (do amazing work ) Yet… All Children’s services for typical and SEND are in high demand and being stripped of funding . Budgets, cuts and reforms are why are children are suffering. From general paediatric surgery, to dentists and therapies , including GP’s, intervention programmes, school settings, EHCP’s, CAMHS and general neurological development … the list is endless as to where there is a significant difference as to what we KNOW needs to happen and what ACTUALLY happens. Doesn’t matter how much you champion change and raise awareness the ultimate limitation is funding .

Have you volunteered in Guatemala on medical missions serving children born with cleft lip and palate? If so, you’ve seen the important work done by TESS Unlimited to organize every detail of the surgical mission weeks and evaluate, feed, support, and provide comprehensive care to children born with cleft. So many volunteers have asked for years: how can we financially support this organization’s efforts? Good news! You can do so through a US-based, tax-exempt 501c3 organization founded by several American volunteers active with TESS Unlimited. Cleft Care International was founded with one purpose: to serve as a fundraising conduit in the United States for American donors who wish to financially support international cleft organizations like TESS Unlimited. Because we do not carry out cleft care directly, our operations are very lean with zero employees and very low back-office costs, 100% of which are covered by the Cleft Care International board. What’s that mean? 100% of your donation dollars go directly to TESS Unlimited. Check it out and donate directly here: https://lnkd.in/grgFuD_7.

At Owlet, we stand for every baby and every parent. In the U.S. alone, more than 3,000 families are impacted by SUIDS/SIDS each year.* This October, in honor of SIDS Awareness Month, we’re building on our $150,000 impact from last year and donating 5% of all proceeds on Owletcare.com to critical SIDS research and awareness. Here’s how you can make an impact with us: 🤍 Make a purchase at Owletcare.com — 5% of your purchase will benefit SIDS research and awareness. 🤍 Purchase “When Baby Sleeps”, a children’s book about safe sleep practices written by Owlet Cares partner, Briggs & Barrett Project. 100% of proceeds from this book will benefit SIDS research and awareness. 🤍 Help us grow our Nursery of Hope, a nationwide initiative where we plant trees in honor of babies who are gone but never forgotten. You can purchase a seedling for yourself or a loved one, or donate one to a loss family. 100% of proceeds will benefit SIDS research and awareness. With your support, we can work towards a future where all babies can sleep safe and sound. Community Projects Manager at the Wrexham Lager Beer Company Ltd, and project lead for Wrexham Lager’s F Jones Initiative community project.
As we approach the end of our 2023/24 Wrexham Recognition Awards competition, the penultimate business the F Jones Initiative are highlighting is the incredible Therapy Stars Foundation. Here’s why ⬇️ Founder @sian boffey is a children’s physiotherapist who had set up her own private practice, Therapy Stars, back in 2014. Witnessing how families were often struggling to fund either extra therapy on top of what they were offered by statutory services, or those therapies not provided by the NHS, she felt there must be a way to help. The Therapy Stars Foundation was launched on the 27th January 2023 and offers awards of £500 to families living in North Wales, Shropshire, or Cheshire, for them to access therapy for a child with a long-term or life limiting condition. Therapy may include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech therapy as well as lesser-known Music Therapy, Hippotherapy & Equine therapy, Hydrotherapy & Aquatic Therapy, and counselling for example. The foundation has awarded nine therapy grants during 2023 to children with disabilities and their families. These have been able to fund Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy and Speech Therapy. Sian tells us that they are hoping to support even more families during 2024. Their application form can be completed directly on their website and their next application review at the time of writing this is 7th March 2024. The grants offered will be dependant on the amount of money the Therapy Stars Foundation manages to raise, primarily through donations and fundraising. Early intervention is key for many young children with long-term or life-limiting conditions and ongoing therapy is a way of life for most of these families. Sian tells us that financial constraints placed on all families, as well as reduced resources available through statutory services have meant that many children do not receive the therapy they need or deserve. ‘We strive to help children thrive’. #physiotherapy #childrenshealth #longtermdisability #therapyworks #therapystarsfoundation #fjonesinitiative
