Ahead of me sharing information for #worldsuicidepreventionday tomorrow, I want highlight #AchalasiaAwarenessMonth this month and take a moment to share something deeply personal. My husband has been bravely battling this rare esophageal disorder, and through his journey, I've come to realise just how little awareness there is about achalasia. Achalasia affects the ability of the esophagus to move food toward the stomach, leading to difficulties swallowing and a range of other challenges. It can be a frustrating and isolating experience for those diagnosed and their families. Many are unaware of the symptoms and the impact it can have on everyday life. By sharing our story, I hope to shed light on this condition and connect with others who may be facing similar struggles. Awareness is the first step towards understanding, support, and advocacy. Let’s work together to spread the word about achalasia, so we can empower those affected and help pave the way for more research and better treatment options. If you or someone you know is living with achalasia, please reach out. Your experiences matter, and together, we can create a community of support. 💙 #AchalasiaAwareness #SupportAndAdvocate #RareDisease #TogetherWeCan

SUDEP is a devastating reality for some individuals living with #epilepsy and their families. It refers to sudden, unexpected death in people with epilepsy, where no other cause of death is found. While it's rare, occurring in about 1 in 1,000 people with epilepsy each year, the impact is profound. Why is awareness important? Because awareness saves lives. By understanding the risk factors associated with SUDEP, we can better support those affected and potentially prevent such tragedies. #epilepsyawareness #SUDEP #healtheducation #support #awarenessmatters

Therapeutic intervention can take many forms. We celebrate the person, using birthdays as an opportunity to foster healthy relationships, provide role models, and create lasting memories. Building a solid community helps reduce isolation and, in turn, vulnerability to abuse. We love you, @habosahradaycare 🎉 #Community #Memories #HealthyRelationships
