For the next couple of months, our socials are going to be completely taken over. Taken over with a certain type of content that is. By far and away the most questions we get asked by our customers is how to responsibly get rid of the pieces in their wardrobes they don't have any use for. They might be worn out, they might be just 'not right'. They might have plenty of wear left in them, or the customer might want to make sure they get used by someone who needs them and not be sent to a shredder. Or they might want them recycled or up cycled - they just don't know where to start. So, because we want our customers to know everything we know and more, we are spending the next couple of months publishing everything to do with donating, recycling, reselling, repurposing, rewearing (and any other -ing that fits within the clothing circular economy at customer level). Join us - add your knowledge too. Let's get as many people involved as possible. https://lnkd.in/e7-XNi9V

🌊 JOIN OSHKI IN PRESERVING THE GREAT LAKES 🌊 Every year, more than 22 million pounds of plastic waste infiltrate the Great Lakes, posing a significant threat to the region's wildlife and ecosystems. Utilizing A circular economy approach, Oshki repurposes plastic waste from the Great Lakes and beyond, transforming it into high-quality, sustainable apparel. To date, they have repurposed over 160,000 plastic bottles' worth of plastic waste, with 100% of it sourced from the United States, including a portion collected during Oshki's Great Lakes beach cleanups. In addition to environmental efforts, Oshki allocates 5% of all proceeds to support non-profit organizations dedicated to preserving the Great Lakes. These funds contribute to crucial research, advocacy, and cleanup initiatives. With Oshki, you're not just purchasing apparel—you're investing in a cleaner, healthier future for the Great Lakes. #GreatLakesConservation #CircularEconomy #SustainableFashion https://bit.ly/49vTKHA

When we founded Loop. in 2020, we were all too aware of the impact the fashion industry was having on our environment, and we wanted to be part of a solution. We have built sustainability into the heart of our brand, doing whatever we can, large or small, knowing it all makes a difference. Here are just some of the things we’ve achieved so far: 1. All our cashmere is accredited as 100% sustainably sourced. 2. We work with expert makers to craft small batches of production to minimise waste. 3. 95% of our packaging can already be composted or recycled. 4. We have partnered with Thrift+ to close the loop by using their second-hand marketplace. Sustainability is an ongoing journey for us. There is always more to learn and more to do, and we have lots of exciting initiatives coming up this year that will help us do even more. Some very simple things we can all do when it comes to fashion: 1. Choose seasonless, versatile styles that work year-round so we get the most wear out of them. 2. Buy the best quality we can, so we can buy less over time. 3. Take time to care for the clothes in our wardrobes, by expanding their life by just an extra 9 months, we can already reduce our carbon, water, and waste footprint by 20%. 4. When we no longer need something, let's donate it, recycle it, or sell it. Read more about our approach to sustainability on our website: https://lnkd.in/d8PFc7sz

AWAN clothes are excellent in every way; both fashionable and fashionably sustainable
AWAN (As We Are Now) has been nominated for the HER Sustainability Award 🙋🏻♀️ This nomination means a lot to me personally. I started this founder journey fuelled by a fierce desire to make a difference. Why should women settle for clothes that don't celebrate who we are? And why is it so hard to find sustainable fashion options? Soon enough, I realised this wasn't just a problem I felt personally — it's a planet-sized issue. The fashion industry, now the third-largest polluter, is entrenched in systems that resist change at every turn. We're fighting battles on multiple fronts: disrupting supply chains, shifting consumer mindsets, and securing the resources we need to scale up. Because true change in this industry isn't just about using recycled materials—it's about reimagining every aspect of how we do business. AWAN's mission is bold: to create a blueprint for a circular wardrobe concept & apparel brand. It's a tough road, no doubt, but the opportunity is also the challenge 👊 Thanks to HER - Hun Etablerer Ressursprogrammet and everyone voting for us, for acknowledging the work we've done so far in our quest to shake up an industry that's currently wreaking havoc on our planet. You can vote for us here 🙏 https://lnkd.in/d-64cu3x PS. We have been nominated for 2(!) Awards this year.
