3x your business with GREAT CX | Coach | Entrepreneur | Community Leader | Speaker | Geek | Let's coffee!
Ever been in a conversation when you know things are getting awkward? Don't know what to do to end the conversation? It's happened to all of us before. A conversation getting a little longer than it should and you're getting fidgety. Three things you can easily end a conversation without being rude. 1. recap what was discussed and ask if that was discussed. 2. Talk about the next steps or course of action as a follow up. 3. End the meeting with a confirmation of the next steps and/or set the next meeting. Then thank your counterpart for his/her time. Quick and simple. Try it! Me seen here with Udayakumar Ganapathy looking like we're the ones being interviewed for a job at Sunway Uni's recruitment fair #leadership #vlanasia

University Recruiting SME | Independent consultant to employers hiring early talent | Provider of unbiased student recruiting research
This comment, in response to a recent qualitative question I asked about those employers' offering 'the LEAST impressive and effective recruiting event', maps to a SRG research data point about UR recruiting engagement. Students want to hear about employers’ JOB OPPORTUNITIES when they interact with representatives at career fairs and events: ➡ Their #1 reason for attending recruiting events is “to learn about specific job opportunities; what I would actually DO there?” ➡ On a 10-point Likert scale, they rated their agreement with this statement at 8.91 – even exceeding access to interviewing opportunities! 👉 Want to “meet students where they are”? Deliver the content they expect - and value.
