Murchison Minerals Ltd (TSX-V:MUR, OTCQB:MURMF) has kicked off its latest exploration program at the BMK Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) project in Saskatchewan. The program, covering the 100%-owned project, involves diamond drilling totaling approximately 3,500 meters and is slated for completion by mid-March. Murchison’s primary aim is to discover the copper-rich stockwork zone associated with the formation of the BMK VMS Deposit, according to a statement. The deposit, with a 2018 NI 43-101 resource estimate, remains open along strike and at depth. The 2024 winter drilling program will concentrate on three target areas: CST, BMK North, and BMK South Extensions. #Murchison believes that each area presents high-priority zones for potential discoveries, with a particular focus on the CST target, identified as a large geophysical anomaly. Rumble Resources has released its December quarter report outlining the progress made on advancing the emerging world class Earaheedy zinc-lead-silver project. This marks the first modern exploration effort on the site, with no documented drilling to date. The four Exploration Licence Applications (ELA’s) covering 2,446 km2 were chosen after an extensive review of this region with a focus on known palaeochannel systems, in association with the geologically and regionally significant Hiltaba Suite granites. The Hiltaba Suite granites have been interpreted to be the source for the high-grade Yarranna deposit (850ppm to 3,550ppm U3O8) that sits within the Narlaby palaeochannel sequence.
