New Class Just Added! Tumbleweed Registration & Details: https://bit.ly/4cDmU9O Confident Beginner or Higher | May 21, 2024 | 10:00 AM-4:00 PM This pattern, from Deb Heatherly, is an excellent way to learn how to use the Half Rectangle Trim Tool. As we begin to construct the large blocks that make up the quilt, we’ll learn how all the markings on the ruler are used to create perfect Half Rectangle units that help you keep those points from getting buried in a seam.

The final video in the series following the construction of my very first ratcheting screwdrivers is now live! https://lnkd.in/eGAcBuhG Those not familiar with Phoenix Contact or it's IFC group specifically, the major product that we support is molded cordsets with M12 connector heads, and that was the inspiration for these handles. The handle itself is a model of an M12 sensor connector that I modified for this purpose. I could have taken the blanks and turned them to a simple pattern by hand, but I thought it would be fun to try something more detailed and relevant for the team at work since these were their Christmas gifts this past year. I learned a lot about the processing of these handles throughout the builds. Firsts for me were: - Casting a large 2"x2" blank. - Turning those blanks to size without guides. - Creating and successfully running the CNC milling operation on my Snapmaker with rotary module with my own design using a new material. I previously only ran stock test pieces with test material supplied with the rotary module. - Polishing the acrylic with new multi-level polishing wheels. Each new process let me explore a new range of possibilities with the tools I have, and led me to some new tools that I didn't have before. I hope to take what I learned here to develop new designs of different levels of intricacy for a range of different end products (maybe lightsabers???). If you've been following along from the start or just seeing this now...thank you for watching Builds by Dean! #snapmaker #screwdriver #ratchet #gift
