Week 2 of back-to-back travel, and where else would I land but VEGAS! 🎲 Last month I attended the ISSA trade show—an incredible opportunity to meet with clients, and customers, and see what's trending in the industry. It’s all about staying ahead of the curve and discovering the newest innovations that shape the market. Some of the amazing brands we connected with: Maintex, Ekcos, Diversified Hospitality Solutions, Odoban, Toter, and Sheila Shine (just to name a few). Derrick, our trade show rookie, joined us for his first event, and let’s just say he quickly learned the golden rule of trade shows: function over fashion. (Don’t worry—he’s rocking his new kicks now!) Staying at the Wynn gave me stunning views, and dinner at SW Steakhouse was the perfect way to wrap up the day. Shoutout to our server Robert for making it a night to remember—and for the surprise Anejo Old Fashion, which definitely packs a punch. Don Julio, we meet again! 😅 Now it’s time to take all the ideas, trends, and connections we’ve gathered and start planning for 2025. Tradeshows aren’t just about products—they’re about partnerships, creativity, and setting up for the future. Vegas didn’t disappoint, and I’m excited for what’s next! 🥂✨

The Future of Trade Shows and Roadshows: A Personal Reflection Looking back on my journey, some of the strongest memories in my career are tied to travels. Whether it was a trade show, meeting distributors, wholesalers, or customers, participating in an industry event, or visiting manufacturing and sourcing partners, these experiences have been pivotal—not just for building brands but for shaping my understanding of the industry as a whole. My first international fair was in 2010, at Bread & Butter in Berlin with Costo. It was a moment filled with excitement, new connections, and invaluable lessons. Over the years, events like these have provided a platform to showcase values, products, and vision while creating lasting memories and relationships. What makes these moments so impactful is the multi-sensory and personal nature of the experience. Touching and feeling fabrics, seeing the craftsmanship up close, and having face-to-face conversations leave a stronger and more lasting impression. These interactions create a powerful memory path—one that’s hard to replicate in a fully digital world. As I reflect on these moments, I can’t help but think about the future of trade shows and roadshows: How can physical and digital platforms work together to create meaningful experiences? How do we continue to offer the tactile experience of products while embracing a digital-first world? For me, events like the ongoing Cotton Classics Roadshow and the upcoming TecStyle Visions in Stuttgart are not just about showcasing products—they’re about creating experiences that connect people to the brand, its story, and its values. These moments remind me why I started this journey.

Where does every event start? When planning a corporate event, the very first step I do is thorough research. Understanding a customer I am working for is crucial. Whether I am preparing a participation at the trade fair or organising a corporate event, my process always begins with an in-depth exploration of the client's brand identity, unique selling propositions (USPs), brand history, and the founders and management team. 2. Why is this research so important? Because every brand has a unique story, vision, and set of values that should be reflected in their events. This foundation helps in crafting a cohesive and authentic event experience that aligns perfectly with the company's goals. 3. Next Step is defining objectives and goals - another crucial phase of the event planning process, which I'll uncover in the next post #events #corporateevents #eventplanner #eventplanning #eventmarketing #eventorganisation #livemarketingevents #eventmarketing2024

Something is getting more popular that can address MANY event prof concerns. Concerns like: 💲Budget 💡Creativity 🤝Engagement ♻Sustainability And that is the Micro Event. If leadership is cutting your budget and telling you to do the same with less, it's time to get creative. Let's say you always attend a major tradeshow but the ROI just isn't there anymore (regardless of how you measure it). Might be time to consider reducing your booth size and spending that budget on a more intimate micro event with your VIPs. A smaller event will allow for more targeted networking and can really reduce the number of logistical nightmares you face with a gigantic tradeshow booth. Coolest part of a micro event? You can choose a venue that isn't some cookie-cutter hotel conference room. Think of all the awesome and unique places you can book with a ~50 person get together. You can make the venue part of the story you're telling. With a lower cost and a more eco friendly footprint, you're close to leveling up your event strategy for a win that a lot of stakeholders can share. What's the best satellite or micro event you've hosted? 👋 A Post By Rich 🏍️ Motorcycles > Cars ✈ Air France Sucks #eventprofs #tradeshows #eventmarketing

The cost of Trade Shows, travel, meals, and hotels is enormous. I far too often saw companies spend a lot of m oney on Trade Shows. Then they wait for the clients to come to them and when they did have a client or potential client in the booth, have no plan and it became more of a social visit, rather than what it should have been, a business visit with value purpose. Being prepared before, during and after your Tradeshow will get you and ROI for this large spend and build your relationship form vendor to trusted partner with your clients. Read on, reach out and lets talk. #smarttradeshow #purpose #trustedpartner #drivevalue #closedealsfaster
