SAVCA PE CONNECT 2024 – THE SECTOR WANTS MORE! On Tuesday, 10 September, together with EY, we hosted a room packed with sector influencers and heavyweights at the inaugural SAVCA Private Equity (PE) Connect 2024 at the EY head office in Sandton. The industry came together to review the key highlights of this year’s SAVCA PE Survey, as well as to dive into the details of what they mean for the sustainability of the asset class, the economy, and the companies reliant on this capital. From the keynote economic update to the PE Survey presentation and eagerly anticipated asset manager and institutional investor panel discussion, the audience remained locked in! By the end of the event, the resounding shared sentiment was that we need more of these types of engagements. It was a productive connection session, which was guided by strong presentations and tough questions – leading to constructive dialogue on behalf of the industry which incorporated the diverse viewpoints from the various touchpoints across the PE value chain.
