The so-called “Islamic State” – the return of a threat that never went away.   The Islamic State-affiliated Amaq News Agency released an infographic detailing the group's attacks and resulting casualties in the first half of 2024.   Of the 788 attacks worldwide that have killed 3,749 people, 12 attacks with 138 casualties have occurred in Afghanistan, 19 attacks with 142 casualties in Pakistan, and one each in Iran, Turkey, and Russia.   Unlike previous reports, this infographic categorizes attacks by country rather than by the Islamic State's so-called provinces, such as Khorasan or West Africa.   The Islamic State group has adapted its strategy following territorial losses, now increasingly recruiting and training fighters online for lone-wolf and complex attacks. AIPAC is in trouble now! (S)heroes of all backgrounds and career industries showed up to condemn the money-funneling, pro-occupation and pro-genocide lobbyists. A common theme throughout the rally: AIPAC is poisoning America, it’s shameful and it must stop, now! Boy, did they make a lot of noise! Allied organizations stood before the lavish headquarters of AIPAC, wrapped in keffiyahs, waving Palestinian flags high, and armed with slogans such as: “Not In Our Name,” “AIPAC: Deadly to Doctors, “AIPAC Out of Congress,” “AIPAC Makes America Sick,” and “Stop Sending Money To Israel,” among others.
