Being on shifts when I'm struck by a surge of creativity and experimentation can make things a bit messy to say the least (don't worry, I clean up after myself of course). In my latest blog post over at Drizzl'd, I discuss the number one benefit of working with us!

When approaching the creative for a new video, we have a few guiding principles. One is: always focus on the people over the product or the business. When we were approached by Weaymouth Creative to create a recruitment video for Piller's Fine Foods, a division of PBOLP we wanted to show all the benefits of working for such a great organization. But we knew we had to make the employees the heroes and to place Piller’s Fine Foods as the one who enables those heroes to achieve their goals and live the lives they want. Today I attended the keynote speaker event with Thane Maynard, I had a great experience with great food as well. One thing I learned was the Human Resource side of the Cincinnati zoo. I was informed how they have drastically changed the hiring practice through covid at the zoo and diversified staff throughout the time period that Thane has been there. I also learned how they have created solutions to financial problems occurring at the zoo to ensure that labor is effective. For example cutting down millions of gallons used a year would be an example of Human Resources . This directly correlates to economics because in economics Human Resources are the skills, knowledge and experience to ensure that labor is effective. #EconwithDrA

Companies usually do not hire in the 4th quarter, but are no ordinary company. Today, we have hired Dobby, who is part of our family now. He is dating the daughter of the owner and founder. His primary responsibility will be to give dishwasher tours. Now, you might be asking, what in the world is a dishwasher tour? And we are glad you asked. Dobby, will give tours to our employees to show them where the dishwasher is. This is a process improvement position. To this point, our employees can only get dishes to the sink, in most cases, but not always. His responsibilities will include developing a program to increase the amount of traffic to the sink and than to complete the process to the dishwasher for proper cleaning. We are an eco friendly company and take pride not only in our work and products, but the cleanliness of our facilities including dishes. Treat everyone in the workplace with respect and kindness, whether they're the Janitor or the CEO. I’m here today not just as the CEO of Emonics LLC, but as someone who deeply cares about our team. I want to talk about something close to my heart – respect for everyone. I've noticed that people stand up when a CEO, director, or manager is in front of them, but we should also stand up for our janitor or staff member, regardless of their title, and be thankful for them whenever they clean our desks, floors, washrooms, or bring our orders from the cafeteria. In the corporate world, we have people doing all sorts of jobs. Some of us plan the big projects, and some of us make sure our office is clean and welcoming. But here’s what I really want to say: every job is important, and every person doing their job is important too. So, here's what I believe. Let's be kind to everyone. No matter their job. Because in the end, we're all part of the same team. We're all working together to make something great. 🚨 Employee Spotlight 🚨 Today we would like to introduce Libby Loescher! She has been a Purchasing Administrative Assistant on our Equipment & Automation team in Mediapolis, Iowa, since August 2022. In this role, Libby said she has enjoyed acquiring the knowledge to have strong problem-solving skills and developing processes to gain efficiencies. 👉Fondest work memory so far: "Every time I hear that a job has no delays due to missing purchased parts, it makes me happy. I hope that I can positively impact someone’s day, in a small way, by having the items they need to do their job well!" 👉Favorite things to do outside of work: "One of my favorite things is travelling with my niece and nephews. A close second to that is returning home after traveling with my niece and nephews! Working with glass, and developing my fused glass skills, is close to my heart, as is exhibiting my work at art & craft shows." 👉Favorite things to watch/listen/read: "I’m all over the place- anything from rock to classical, murder mysteries to historical biography, though I will admit an affinity for watching cat videos." 👉If you could have one superpower, what would it be: "To fly!"
