Studies have shown that various measures of ground reaction force (GRF) have a relationship w/pitching performance & joint loading in the pitching arm. To date, these studies have used data collected in laboratory (bullpen settings), due to the necessity for force plates. While lab settings provide value in terms of setting measurement baselines & having the ability to measure periodic changes in mechanics, it does not allow for the measurement of data at scale & in a competitive environment.
