It's #MeetTheTeam Tuesday!👋 Say hello to Debra Woodard. Debra works with our Newtron Mechanical team in Beaumont, TX and has been with us for over 12 years! #LiveIt. 1.) What brought you to this company? The client had pitched my name to Pete Ellis. I interviewed with Pete and was offered the job. I’ve worked happily ever after with Newtron for the past 12+ years. 2.) What's the best thing about your job? I truly like the diversity of my work scope. Sure, I have daily job tasks that are routine and can get boring, but I am constantly presented with new issues or projects to work on and solve. I enjoy the challenge. 3.) Who or what motivates you? Personality wise, I am a perfectionist. I want to make sure that both the current GM, Trey Ellis and our site Superintendent Kelley Gillard know that they can count on me with anything that may come up at our job site. 4.) What's the best advice you've ever received? "Don't sweat the small stuff, there is nothing that can't be fixed." 5.) What's your favorite quote? This was one of my past employer's favorite things to say and I still laugh every time I think about it. He would say, "your #1 job is to make me look good" and of course my reply was "how much overtime are you willing to put into that job assignment." LOL good times... 6.) What's your favorite sports team? I don't really follow sports, but if a game is on, I am pulling for the Cowboy's and the Astros. 7.)What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? I love relaxing with my pets at home. We currently have 3 horses, 2 dogs, and 1 cat. They are part of the family. I also love to travel, and hike in the mountains; in search of waterfalls and scenic lookouts our beautiful state parks have to offer. I am blessed that my family enjoy doing this as well. I also enjoy photographing wildlife, nature and of course my pets. 8.) What's a surprising or fun fact about you? I would rather be on the back of a 4-wheeler going down a dirt trail in the woods than shopping in any mall or store. I am definitely a country gal at heart.

One of my favorite aspects of being a part of Bluemax USA is visiting different utilities and attending classes to learn and getting the chance to speak to linemen. Their insights are invaluable in helping us understand their daily challenges and needs. Our goal is to make their lives easier and safer with our products. If you're a lineman or work in the utility industry, I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. How can we continue to support and enhance your work? #UtilityIndustry #Linemen #BluemaxUSA #SafetyFirst

How can we attract and retain the best technicians in the industry? This is a question I've grappled with throughout my career, particularly in the RV space, where the technician role often lacks the definition and visibility it has in the automotive world. Interestingly, despite the differences in industries, one thing remains the same: top-performing technicians, whether in RV, automotive, or powersports, seek opportunities to perform at their best, earn competitively, and deliver quality work to their customers. At Bish's RV, Inc., we’ve spent this past year really listening to our technicians - both new hires and veterans. We’ve asked questions like, "Why do you stay?" and "What would make you consider leaving?" These insights have shaped how we communicate, collaborate, and create a work environment that our technicians value. Now, I’d love to hear from you: How are you engaging with your technicians to understand their needs? What strategies have worked for you in attracting and retaining top talent? Let’s start a conversation! #RVTechnicians #AutomotiveIndustry #Hiring #TalentRetention #Leadership #Automotive #Dealership

How time flies... Today marks the 20th year with my company. I thought a great way to celebrate would be to share my story, the short version. 9.4.24 DH Striping job offer. My response...I thought the government did this, but I accept the opportunity to learn a new trade... little did I know it would be cleaning the damn jobsite and watching everybody else work. Nov. 2024 Crew Foreman. Quickly learned why we "train our replacement" July 2007 Field Supervisor and coined the phrase..."We go home when the job is done and customer is happy enough to recommend us. Not when the clocks hits a random time of day...and sometimes night". July 2012, We purchased our 3rd company and I became Director of Operations. 2014 Merged companies. Managed to keep the Director of Operations title and tossed in Sales Manager. Always welcomed new challenges and opportunities. 2020, Became General Manager and part of Private Equity and was informed "Nothing is changing " 2022. The "Nothing is Changing" could not have been further from the truth. 2022 to date... Executive Vice President Landmark Paving LLC and part of the Pave America family. Our Private Equity partners are providing amazing room for growth. We went from being privately owned with 30 employees working in Florida to 163 employees working in several states and part of a nationwide firm. What we do in 1 month now exceeds our annual sales from when I started in this great industry 20 years ago. Please feel free to share this with your teams. I feel promoting from within is a great way to increase your companies growth organically. Cheers to the next 20 years as a part of Landmark Paving and Pave America!!

“It’s all our job as a team to answer the phone." "It's everyone's job to get the dock door." "It's the team's job to keep our spare cubicle clean." You've heard these before, right? There is an expression out there: if everyone is responsible, no one is responsible. When a racing car comes into the pits, every pit crew member knows what they are responsible for doing. You don’t have one crew member changing the windshield and six crew members changing a tire. That would be utter chaos and pandemonium. Direct communication is crucial in assigning tasks, as it prevents misunderstandings and ensures efficient teamwork. Don't leave it up to others to figure out what their share or role is. This is how you create chaos. Asking or telling a team how we plan on breaking up a task or assignment will lead to better productivity and healthier work relationships. #hrtraining #teamwork #leadershiptraining #hr #operations
